“It’s so loud.. This room suppose to be sound proof!!” The loud music.. laughter and chatting at the back of our pack house since early morning disturb my sleep. Its only 8 in the morning and they already start preparing for my alpha ceremony today. Dont misunderstand me.. I am a morning person..I usually wake up at 4 or 5 in the morning for my morning run, breakfast at 6 and ensure to hit the gym by 6.30. I only had about 30 minutes to warm up before my alpha training starts at 7 every day. For the last 2 years.. it was my routine. Yesterday was my birthday.. the day I first shift. Knox my wolf show itself for the first time after 18 years. Yes.. my wolf and I was born together. How do I know? Well he was there as long as I can remember and he’s the one teaching me everything. My parent, alpha Micha Carter and Luna Ariel thought I had imagination friend when I keep mention Knox to them as soon as I able to utter a word. Thats when they realise Knox is not my imagination friend but my wolf. Usually one wolf only appear on your 12th birthday and some rare cases as early as 10th. Never heard of wolf appear earlier than that so I guess … I am special. However, im unable to shift to my wolf earlier like everyone else at age 16. Until last night.. Knox able to surface and take over in its wolf form. Knox turn out to be a massive grey wolf… with two alpha blood parent.. Knox indeed a strong alpha wolf. During the shift, Knox take the opportunity to explore the pack lands and end up exhausted and that is why we both overslept this morning. “Daniel Carter!!! Wake up!!!”.. its my mom shouting and knocking at my door. Its my cue to wake up. Otherwise, I had to listen to her lecture until god knows when she’ll stop. “Yeah I’m awake.. give me a sec.”.. thankfully she stop shouting. “You ready Knox?” “Always”..he replied… I can feel Knox grinning and happy. “So am I”. After take my shower, i quickly put on my black jeans match with black shirt. Shirt.. seriously?! Yes.. a shirt.. I may just be eighteen but a soon to be alpha and executive director of my father’s company, Mithral Corporation, I was trained to be more matured than my age. Thanks to my well build body, thin mustache and well kept beard.. nobody will believe I am just eighteen. The only teenage within me is Knox. Remember when I said I am special? Knox can control my human body the same I can control my wolf form. At the beginning, it was extremelt difficult when the young me needed to play and Knox just want to sleep and refuse to move. I end up crawling and dragging myself until both of us hurt. Both of us learn to cooperate and comply with each other and start thinking as one. It is very difficult and we manage it somehow. Knox is playful.. and funny while I manage keep my stoic face almost all the time. I was on my way down for breakfast when Mark, my soon to be Beta stopped me. “Jenny is here.. thought I should let you know in advance” Mark patted my back and showing his signature smirk that make me stop on my track. I exhale deep breathe and follows him to the dining room. Dining room was lively today. Most pack members come to the pack house to help with the ceremony today. As soon as I step in the room, all eyes on me. Everyone congratulate me and give me happy smiles and good wishes. I was about to grab my sandwiches when Jenny grab my arms and hug me. She tries to kiss me and thanks to my 6.6 ft tall.. she only manage to reach my shoulder. She pouted when I ignore her and continue to grab my breakfast. Like a leech she is.. she follows me all the way to my table. There’s only one seat left as I already signal Mark to not let Jenny join my table. She is too persistent. As soon as I sit, she climb on my lap. “I’m trying to eat here Jenny… move!” I grunt annoyingly. “Aww babe.. I’ll feed you… here..” Jenny took a slice of sandwich and tried to feed me. “Move.. before I throw you out.. don’t test me Jenny” .. She pouting again and drop the sandwich back on my plate. “You cant ignore me forever you know.. I am your chosen mate.. I’m going to be your Luna.. you should accept the fact by now Daniel.. you need me!” Jenny get down from my lap and fix her almost see through dress. She stare at all my friends at the table and look back at me.. “You are mine.. like it or not.. I’ll see you at the altar… you are going to kiss me.. more than 10 seconds this time!!” She flaunt her blond hair and walk away like a princess she is. “Ten seconds!!! Owh my god..” Jayden my gamma laugh and the rest join laughing. “How could she count the time during kissing?!.. or did you not know how to kiss Danny?… hahhahah” .. only a few circle of my friends get to call me Danny… I give Jayden a stare.. “It is not a kiss.. its more like a peck on the lips.. and she announce it to the world that I kiss her passionately.. she’s crazy… I dont think I could live with her for the rest of my life”.. sighing.. “the hell with the elders.. what were they thinking? I am just eighteen!.. my mate should be out there somewhere.. I want to find her....” pinching my head.. “this is unbelievable”.. Jenny is the daughter of elder Theo. One of most influenced elder in the pack. Elder Theo is a wise man. I wonder where his daughter Jenny get her arrogant, selfish, crazy head. Probably from his late mate?. Jenny’s mother passed away after giving birth to Jenny. The doctor said, she had complication during birth and was too late to save her. As such, Jenny was raised by Elder Theo and his sisters. Jenny is indeed beautiful, sexy and pleasing to the eyes, but her character, spoiled and arrogant make me sick! During her birthday, I give her a peck on her lips to congratulate her but she brags to everyone that I gave her a passionate kiss she ever had. Its a lie. I never had any feelings towards her but ever since that kiss, she claimed I was his. She even scold me for kissing her less than 10 seconds that day. It was a peck.. for godsake!!! She shamelessly asked me to kiss her again. Like hell I would. Never ever again. I feel like sewing her ugly mouth. There is no nice word coming from her mouth. I tried to explain to my parent but she insist that I should responsible for the kiss. God knows how regret I am. The elders decide I should take a chosen mate during my alpha ceremony. It is a tradition for an alpha to ascent the alpha title together with a Luna. My father, alpha Micha is not well. He is deem unsuitable to hold the alpha title due to his health condition. Us wolf had great lifespan. We seldom fell sick or having health problem. There are alpha wolf that is more than 100 years old and still strong and powerful. But my father is different. He used to be a strong alpha but during a conflict with a witch covent, he was cursed by one of the witch leader. Even though the curse already lifted, his health still deteriorating. As advice by the elders, they agreed for me to take over earlier than I should. I dont mind taking the responsible as an alpha of my pack. It is what I’ve been trained for. But to take a chosen mate.. and she is Jenny!.. I had to do something. I planned to refuse the order to take Jenny as my chosen mate today. Either the elders like it or not. That she-wolf is a disaster.
