Chapter 1
Gabby awoke with wide eyes, terrified and clinging to the covers as she was confused. "What the... where am I?" As Tony woke up blearily next to her, he became enraged instantly. "How in the world is this? He sat up abruptly and yelled, "Who the hell are you?" his face contorted with rage. Gabby sat up, shaky, her voice wavering slightly as she whispered. "I…I'm not sure! I have no idea how I got here. In what location am I? Who are you? Panic swelling in her chest, her gaze raced around the strange room. With an angry expression on his face, Tony sprang to his feet, swinging his legs off the bed. "I should be asking you that. Do you have any idea who I am? How did you get in here? Did you drug me?" His hands clenched into fists at his sides. Gabby tried to cover herself more with the sheets, her voice trembling as tears welled up in her eyes. "Drug you? I don’t even know who you are! I was just trying to get home after work. I don’t belong here. I can’t afford a place like this!" Tony’s face became even more gloomy as he paced the space, frantically raking his fingers through his hair. "This is unbelievable. I’m Tony Hank, a name you should know. Do you have any idea what kind of trouble you’re in? I could have you arrested for this!" "Arrested? For what? I have no idea what happened! Do you really believe that I wanted to wake up with a stranger? Gabby sobbed, "I just want to get out of here," her voice cracking as tears began to fall down her cheeks. Tony stopped pacing and glared at her. "A stranger? You expect me to believe you just randomly ended up in my hotel room? What’s your angle, huh? Trying to extort money from me?" His voice was filled with disdain. Gabby shook her head angrily, sounding frantic. "Money?" Money is not what I want! I only want to return home. Please listen to me; I'm being honest. I have no idea how I ended up here." She sobbed, trembling all over from fear and confusion. Tony sighed deeply, pinching the bridge of his nose as he tried to calm down. “All right, fine. Let’s say I believe you. What do you remember from last night?" His tone was slightly softer but still edged with suspicion. Gabby sniffled, wiping her eyes with the back of her hand. "I remember finishing my shift at the diner. I went out to get some air, and... that’s it. Everything after is a blur." Her voice was small and shaky. Tony took a deep breath, calming down slightly but still suspicious. "This doesn’t make any sense. Someone must have set this up. But why?" He frowned, his brow furrowed in thought. "I don’t know, but please, I just want to leave. I’m scared, and I have nothing to do with this," Gabby pleaded, her eyes wide with desperation. Tony took a deep breath, his eyes narrowing as he looked at Gabby. “All right, we’re going to figure this out together. But remember, this stays between us. I can’t afford any scandals." Gabby nodded, trying to steady her breathing. "I understand. I don’t want any trouble either." Tony's face twisted with frustration. "Good. Now start looking around. Maybe there’s something here that’ll explain how you ended up in my bed." Gabby glanced around the room, her hands shaking. She noticed her purse on the floor near the door and rushed to it, rummaging through its contents. "My phone’s here, and my wallet… nothing seems to be missing." Tony snorted, his tone dripping with sarcasm. "Great. So you just magically appeared here with all your stuff. Fantastic." Gabby flinched at his harsh words but continued checking her things. "I swear I don’t know how I got here. Everything was normal last night." Tony clenched his jaw, scanning the room. "Everything’s here on my end too. No signs of forced entry. This doesn’t make any sense." Gabby sat on the edge of the bed, trying to remember. "Maybe someone drugged me. Maybe there’s something we’re missing." Tony crossed his arms, glaring at her. "Missing? Like what? Did you have any visitors last night? Anyone who might have a reason to set you up?" Gabby shook her head, tears welling up again. "No, I just finished work and was heading home. I didn’t see anyone suspicious." Tony's frown deepened. "Hotel staff then. Could one of them have used a master key?" Gabby's eyes widened. "Maybe… but why would they do that?" Tony scoffed. "Hell if I know. But if someone did this, I'm not taking the fall for it." Gabby Wiped her eyes, determination setting in. “All right, let’s figure this out. What time did you get back to your room?" "Around 9 PM," Tony replied curtly. "And you?" "I finished work at 10 and then…" Gabby trailed off, her memory failing her. "Everything’s a blur after that." Tony's eyes flashed with anger. "Convenient. We’re going back to that diner. Maybe someone there saw something." Gabby nodded, trembling. "Okay. But what if someone recognizes you?" Gabby grabbed a hat and sunglasses from his suitcase, his movements sharp and angry. "I’ll deal with it. We need answers, and this is the only way." As they prepared to leave, Tony turned to Gabby, his expression cold and hard. "Remember, you stick with me and keep your mouth shut. We need to solve this before it blows up in our faces." Gabby nodded, her fear replaced by a steely resolve. "Let’s do this." They stepped out of the room and into the hallway, tension crackling between them. As they descended the staircase to the lobby, the muted sounds of morning television reached their ears. Suddenly, Tony froze, his eyes widening in horror as he caught sight of the TV screen in the lounge area. Gabby followed his gaze, her heart sinking. There, plastered across the screen, was a grainy photo of them, naked and tangled in the sheets. The headline screamed: "Bombshell! Billionaire Caught in Bed with Common Girl!"
