Lexi's P.O.V.
~
I was now looking through the four boxes of case files from my parents murders. There is so much stuff and everything has to be analysed carefully because missing one single detail can lead you to missing the guy. It's now ten o'clock and I started looking when I got home from school. I don't know where Tommy is, if he had dinner or if he's asleep but I'm going to go call him now. I walk out of my door and head for Tommy's and open it fully. He is lying on his bed doing homework. Hmm, what happened to him? I jump on his bed and he jumps up at the sudden movement but glares when he sees it's me.
"Since when does Thomas Williams do homework?" I ask sarcastically. He rolls his eyes, then blushes and looks down. He clears his throat and looks at me.
"Um well, there is this girl I met at school. She is really beautiful and smart and funny and I think I like her but when I made an advance on her she denied me. She is the only girl besides that has denied me. Am I loosing my game?" I stare at him for a second before full on laugh. I laugh until tears fall out and I got a second pair of abs.
"A girl denied you and because of that you're studying? Are you feeling well, do you have a temperature?" I reach my hand to his forehead but he swats it away.
"I am studying so I can get good grades and show her that I am more than a s**y piece of meat. Now, is there a reason for you interrupting me other than pure enjoyment?" I nod and go back to my serious work face.
"Well, when we got home I started looking through my parents files again and nothing seems to pop out at me, and Uncle Raymond in his final letter to me say that if I needed help or if I wanted to, which I think he knew I would, said that I could ask you. So, could you maybe come with me and check ou-" He was already out of the room. I roll my eyes and follow him into mine. I see him eyeing the boxes and then he turns to me.
"What type of stuff do you have in the boxes? Like physical evidence or otherwise." He asks me.
"Well, there is a small portion of physical evidence, nothing major, a suspect list, and some other things, why?" He looks at me before saying.
"Did you not think of separating all the different types of evidence and things and then go over them part by part? Anyways, doesn't matter, we will be going and doing that stuff and then going to sleep so un the morning we can skip school and go over all this, bit by bit until we see something new. Alright, now, let's get to work." He then sets off on his mission. I sigh, might as well help him and then sleep for as long as I want to. We manage to separate all the different types of evidence into about five different piles, and then we went to sleep in Tommy's room because there was so much paper and stuff everywhere.
The next morning I woke up and I was starving. I got up and made eggs, bacon, pancakes, waffles, and two omelettes. I went up to call Tommy down for breakfast but saw him coming down the stairs.
"I smelt food so I came down." I roll my eyes and we walk into the kitchen. We grab a s**t ton of food and eat everything.
"Alright, I'm going to have a shower, you should too, then we can start looking through all the stuff, cool?" I ask Tommy. He nods and we go into our rooms. I be careful not to slam my door shut so the papers don't fly everywhere. I get to my bathroom and have a quick shower. I get out, put my hair into a braid, grab my undergarments, a pair of sweatpants and a tank top to wear. I get out of my closet and see Tommy looking through the pile of the evidence.
"I'll start here, you go over to the suspect list and see if any people cross over with enemies that hates your parents and uncle enough to want them dead." I go quickly, sit down and start looking, it must have been at least two hours before I heard the door bell ringing. I look at Tommy and see him looking as curious as I am. I signal him that I'll go and for him to stay and keep looking. He nods and turns around to start looking again. I grab my g*n from the bedside table and go down stairs as the door bell rings again. I get there as quickly and quietly as I can and open the door to see Maxwell standing there. I don't say anything just stand there with a void face. He sighs and looks at the hand behind my back.
"What are you holding there?" I ignore his question and instead ask him,
"Why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be at school?" He sighs, looks down at his feet and then back up at me.
"You were right." He says softly.
"I'm right about a lot of things, you're gonna have to be more specific about what it is this time." He looks angry then his face softens.
''About Tiffany, she was seeing other guys behind my back. I confronted her and she denied, then I followed her after school and I saw her go to some motel and a guy came out and they kissed then went into the room. It wasn't hard to figure our what they did next." He says sadly. I feel no remorse about telling him. He would've found out another way.
"That doesn't explain why you are here, so?"
"Well Mr. Turner came looking for you in class today, he seemed a bit rushed and out of it, and then asked if anyone knew where you lived. I knew so I raised my hand and he asked if I could come get you so he could speak to you, it seemed urgent. So, are you going to come?" I nod then move so he can come in.
"I'm going to get changed, and I'll get Tommy to stay here. He's not feeling well today so, he won't be coming. I'll be a few minutes. Don't go anywhere other than the living room." He nods and I go up to my room. Tommy looks at me.
"Who was it?" I sigh and explain it to him whilst walking into the closet and getting dressed. A simple pair of black jeans and an oversized jumper will do for today. I get on a pair of sneakers and go out to my room where Tommy is again looking at the stuff on the floor.
"I'll be going now, you gonna stay up here and finish it off?" He nods without taking his eyes off of the things laying out in front of. I go downstairs and find Max looking through my draws in the kitchen.
"Did I no say for you to stay in the living room?" He jumps and quickly closes the draw.
"I didn't hear you come down, and I was in the living room but I was getting bored so I came here to find a glass to drink some water with. Are you ready to go?" I nod and go to the front door and hear him following. I go to get my helmet and then feel his hands stop me. I turn and look at him, completely unamused with his actions.
"We're going in my car, hop in." We go to his car, but instead I make my way over to the drivers seat.
"Give me the keys, I'm driving." He seems like he doesn't want to, but then does. He gets into the passengers seat and I get comfortable in the drivers seat. I put the key into the ignition and back out onto the street, I pause and get into my professional driver mode.
"What are you doing Alexandra?" Oh Max, you are going to be in for a treat.
"Watch." Then I drove like my life depended on it.
*At School*
I parked the car and got out. Max was still inside and he looked like a statue. I go to his side and open the door.
"You dead?" That seems to get him out of his daze. He looks at me like I just told him I trained my shoes to kill his mother.
"W-w-w-hat, h-ho-ow?"
"Doesn't matter, here's your keys and I'll be off." With that I turn to the school and go straight to Uncle Jerry's office. As I get there I notice some people hovering and obviously eavesdropping inside the office. As one notices me coming towards them she notifies the other people and they all back away like I would kill them, I would but they don't that. I roll my eyes and go into his office without knocking and I see something shocking. There sitting in that chair, is my douche of an ex-boyfriend.
"What are you doing here?"
