Lexi's P.O.V.
~
"Did our friendship really inspire this?" Tommy asks. I nod. My tattoo is kind of weird but in a beautiful, abstract way. It was a snowy mountain and the same one on the bottom, but the bottom was a volcano in the same mountain shape though. There was a gap in between it and in that gap was an infinity sign.
"The snowy mountain and the volcano represent how we are fire and ice, so different but the same at the same time, and the infinity sign is how our friendship will last forever, even though we have our big differences. I know this sounds like a cheesy couple tattoo that confesses my undying love for you, which this isn't by the way, it's just that you're my best friend and I love you, in a brotherly way, and I don't tell you how much I actually appreciate you and everything you do for me. You know me better than I know myself, sometimes I hate that, but then I remember that you're here and still with me so clearly, you want to be around me." I finish with a sad smile and when Tommy doesn't answer, I turn to look at him and find him with tears in his eyes looking at me.
"Do I really mean that much to you?" He asked with a shaky breath.
"Of course you do Tommy, you're my best friend, and besides Uncle Jerry, you're my only family." I smile at him and he hugs me. We quickly pay and head off home. I decide to make dinner tonight, and it will be my favourite, lasagne, with chicken schnitzels, chips and garlic bread. I make dinner start eating, then remember Tommy is in the house so I call him down.
''TOMMY COME GET DINNER!" I hear a quick patter of footsteps with the idiots body coming through the dining room, sits down and begins digging in. I scoff and he looks up at me like 'what did I do?' I indicate to the food and he swallows everything that's in his mouth.
"Thank you Lexi, for this absolutely dish that you have made." I nod and then we continue with chatter in between. I make him clean up after dinner and go finish my homework. What, because I don't want to be in school, doesn't mean I wont get good grades? Wait scratch that, the best grades in school. I have homework for almost every subject but finish it in about an hour. I have a shower then get into bed and put on something on Netflix. It was alright so I stayed up and watched it until it got boring then I went to bed. The next morning I got up, got ready, had some breakfast and then waited for Tommy when I got a call. I answered it because it was the people who were handling our motorcycles.
"Hello is this Alexandra Adams?" Some girl asked, she sounds like a b***h.
"This is she."
"Well Ms. Adams I called to inform you that your motorcycles should be in front of your house. They were delivered last night with a full tank of gas and the keys were left in the mailbox per your request."
"Ok thank you." Then I hang up and make my way outside and find Tommy sitting there just staring at out bikes. Oh, look like he was out here the whole time. I go to the mailbox and get out our keys and throw his to him and he literally runs to his bike.
"Um Tommy you're forgetting one thing though." I look at him like he's lost his head, which he probably will.
"What is it?" I tap my head and he finally looks like he understands and runs inside and comes out with two helmets. He hands my one to me. Mine has my design all over it and I drew all over Tommy's as well, and did weird things like skulls, bats, guns, and other weird s**t. They look cool as though. We race to school and I beat Tommy, yet again. As we pull into a parking spot, everyone is staring at us. They probably know it's us because who else would ride a motor bike. I pull my helmet off and shake my hair out, and get off my bike. I grab my bag from the back of the bike and wait for Tommy to do the same. Once he does, we walk up to our lockers and get out our stuff. Class goes by pretty quickly and then we get to the lunchroom. We sit at the table we have claimed as our spot. Everything is chill, me and Tommy were eating chips and talking about things until we heard a clatter and a high pitched squeal.
"UGH LOOK AT WHAT YOU DID TO MY CLOTHES!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" It was Tiffany, of course. I roll my eyes and am about to get back to eating when I hear who she's yelling at.
"I-um - am s-s-sorry T-t-t-tiffany I didn't mean i-it." It was Jackson Reid. The poor little boy was once again getting bullied by Tiffany. I am ending this now I don't care.
"Well you should be. Do you know how much this dress cost? Probably more than your whole life!" She yelled at him. I stepped in front of him and look up at Tiffany.
"Now, now, that wasn't nice was it Tiffany?" I ask sarcastically. I can sense her uneasiness and fear, though her demeanour doesn't falter. She's about to speak but I cut her off with a wave of my hand.
"Just stop Tiffany, no one can be bothered to deal with your s**t today, or any other day. I bet that if it wasn't for your father being mayor, no one here would give you the time of the day. Take away your fathers job, you are just like the rest of us, plus the b********s that you so generously grace us with everyday." I say the last part sarcastically. I turn around to help Jackson up but I quickly add.
"Oh and Tiffany, I can make your detention extend until the end of the year if you don't get to cleaning the school like Mr. Turner told you to." Then I give her my back, not even bothering about her. I look down at Jackson who is on the floor, I squat so I am his height.
"Hey Jack do you remember me?" I ask softly because I don't want to scare him. He shakes his head no.
"Ok well do you remember out little saying, 'Forever, until death do us good'?" I ask. He opens his eyes like he remembers.
''Alex?" He asks softly. I nod and he jumps into my arms and hugs me so tightly. I hug him back just as tightly, still squatting. After a minute I get up and pull him with me, grabbing both of our bags and slinging them over my shoulder.
"Would you like to sit with me and my friend? He is very nice, I promise." He looks sceptical, but nods none the less. I lead him over to Tommy and I see Tommy look at me weirdly. I signal him that I'll tell him later, he nods. I sit down and bring Jackson next to me.
"Jackson, this is Tommy. Tommy, this is Jackson. I used to be really good friends with Jackson before I moved away." I tell Tommy and he nods in understanding. I told him about Jackson and I think its dawning on him that he knows who it now is.
"Hiya Jackson, as Lexi already told you, my name is Tommy. I'm sure we'll be very good friends." Tommy smiles at him and that seems to open him up a bit. For the rest of lunch, we talk until it's time for class then we part ways, telling him to sit with us tomorrow and he agrees. On our way to the next class, Tommy asks me.
"Jackson seems nice. Is he the one with ADHD? The one you used to talk about a lot?" I nod and smile softly at him. We continue to class and sit at the back. As the ends we get out to the parking lot and hop onto our bikes. I decided that tonight I'm going to look into my parents case. I'll ask Tommy to help, but later though. He can relax for a bit while I look at the new evidence. I'll find common enemies between Uncle Raymond and my parents and see where that leads. Oh, this is going to be a long night.
