Chapter 13

Tommy's P.O.V.

After Lexi was taken off by Uncle J, we continued with practice for a little bit before I got a call. It was from HQ and they demanded that Lexi and I, whoever is available at the time, must answer any and all calls from them. I excused myself and walked to the top of the bleachers and answered.

"Agent Williams." I was always very formal when talking to HQ, I just had to be or else they wouldn't let me be an agent in the field. 

"Agent Williams, is Agent Adams around? We need to talk to her about something that she may not like." Ok well damn this must be bad then if even the dudes at HQ want to talk directly to her about it.

"Um no sir Agent Adams is engaged in something else right now. May I pass on a message to her?" 

"You may tell Agent Adams that we believe her parents death weren't accidents. We also believe that her parents and uncle were assassinated by the same company. It may have been the same person but it is a very fair chance that it wasn't the same person, but the person who put the hit out was the same one. We also need you to take extra care of Agent Adams, I wouldn't want to lose my best agent." I can hear the amusement in the last bit, but I know he is serious about taking care of Lexi. 

"Of course sir, I would protect Le-Agent Adams, with everything I had." It was true. She's my family and I hers, and I would go to the end of the Earths for that little minx.

"I knew you would Agent Williams. Please, advise that when this news is delivered there isn't any weapons around, or any people she dislikes. That will be all Agent Williams, good day." Then they hang up. Oh crap, how am I gonna tell Lexi that there was a very high chance that her parents and uncle were assassinated, and by the same person. I mean who would want to do that. I was so lost in thought that I didn't hear when Lexi came up behind me. She scared the crap out of me but I knew it was because I was lost in thought, something she thinks I don't do. When we started walking towards the back she asked me what I was dreading. There was no point in lying to her, she knew me inside out, and would beat the information out of me if she saw fit, which she no doubt would. 

"Lexi, HQ had found some evidence that lead them to believe that your parents and uncle were assassinated and the hit was put out by the same person, using the same company." She went from worried to calm, oh no this is not good, not good at all, I just hope the kids get out of here before she goes off.

Lexi's P.O.V.

I chuckle.

"I'm sorry, I don't believe that I heard you correctly. Were the words that just came out of your mouth informing me that my whole blood related family were assassinated, BY THE SAME PERSON?!" I yell the last part. God I am so angry right now.  Some of the kids stop and slowly start to gather around us. Everything feels like it's caging in on me and I can barely breathe. God, another panic attack, right now? I think Tommy catches on because he put his hands on the sides of my arms and shakes me a bit.

"Lex, listen to me, everything is fine. We will get these guys and make them pay ok? Don't focus on the other people right now, focus solely on my voice. Ok, breathe, in, out, in, out." After a few more times repeating that, I get my breathing under control and I hug Tommy. He puts his arms around my head, caging me in. He knows I don't want people seeing me like this. I shed two or three tears and made sure that I had them wiped off of my face completely before coming out of the cocoon in Tommy's arm. I took in a few deep breathes and then when I finally fully understood Tommy's words, complete and utter rage took over me. Anger about the fact someone would want my parents dead, Uncle Raymond I kind of understand, but my parents, they were basic ordinary parents. I clench my fists so hard that my knuckles turn whiter than Casper the Ghost. 

"Hey Lexi, don't take it out on those people, fight me. I can defend you pretty well and I know right now you need someone or thing to punch so hit me.'' I really didn't have to be told twice. I hit him, right in the middle of the chest then kicked him. He fell backwards but turned it into a backflip, somersault turn type thing. He got up and put his fists up. 

"Playing dirty now are we Lex? Fine, two can play at that game." God, he is so cliché it annoys me. I roundhouse kick him and he blocks and grabs my foot and throws it back. I use the momentum and swing my foot around and it goes into the other side of his ribs and knocks him away. I rush at him and he punches me four times and then trips me and straddles me. 

"You calm now or we going for round two?" He asks, slightly winded from my kick to his ribs.

"Nope, and I could go all day. Get up, it's round two." He does as he's told and we get into our fighting stance. He nods which is a sort of indication that we start now. I charge at him and do that move you see in the movies. I don't know what it's called, but you know when they run up to each other and you twist your legs around the dudes neck and like twist and trip them. Yea, that and I had Tommy pinned in like less than two seconds.

"Ok fine I tap out your thighs are too thick for my handsome face." At that I tighten my legs.

"S**t, no Lex. I love you and your thick thighs, which is like every guys dream by the way." I let go and pull him up. We keep going until it's started to get dark out and the other kids left, finally. We made our way and had a shower, I got out before him so I ordered some Chinese food for us. When Tommy was coming down the stairs the door rang and I paid for the food. We sat on the couch, put on Netflix and started watching some vampire show. It's Tommy's show, not mine. After a while the door bell rang again, and it surprised both of us because we didn't give anyone our address. I signalled him to hide behind the wall and grab his g*n. I had mine in the back waistband of my sweatpants so I kept one hand on that and the other reached for the door. I quickly opened the door and seeing something I really didn't expect.
