Chapter 2

She saw a huge booth like chamber that looks like a big test tube from the movies. Andie instructed her to get inside of it so she can have her transformation started.

She's hesitant at first but she's also curious what she will look like afterward just like the video the boss let her watch. So she gets herself in and sits down on the recliner chair that looks like a dental chair whenever she has her tooth pulled when she was a kid. She remembered how scared she was because of the injection and then she would feel numb afterward.

Anika suddenly remembered the video. "They will inject that long tube to my skull!" She's already in panic but her body seems to just allow everything to happen. She knows that she cannot escape the horror she's been into. "Just let all go. You'll be fine. I promise." She heard Andie's voice from the headgear she's wearing.

She closed her eyes and got ready for the worst. Then she saw it with her eyes closed. An alien from that is about to take over her body. Her brain to be exact. It has a small ugly form that also looks like a human brain but as if it's melted. It's dark greyish color all over with small tentacles on its sides. It looks like an octopus actually with a large pair of eyes but without a face.

As the thing pushes right into her brain, it lets out a loud screeching sound. It looks more scary than her. Then she saw its eyes closed. Oh my God! Is it dead? She now feels concerned about the creature. 

Her eyes are still tightly closed and wonder how she can see all of this happens. She tried opening up her eyes a little. She can see blurry visions but she knows that there are others with Andie right now. They are all in a sort of panic.

There's something wrong. Am I dead? She asked herself. But when she closed her eyes again, she saw the creatures that lurked in her brain. It's not moving or giving any sign of life. I'm not dead.

"Hey, are you dead?'' She felt silly knowing that she's the only one who can see this creature from her mind. It twitched a little. She got excited and tried talking to it again. "Hey, can you hear me?"

It suddenly opened its huge eyes and moved a little as if its tentacles were trying to grab through her brain. She felt a lot of pain as it kept on surrounding it with all its six tentacles. As if it is trying to crush her brain so that it can take over her skull. 

“Arrggghhhh!!!!” Anika is screaming with pain now.

She didn't even feel the huge tube-like needle that had been injected right in the middle of her skull. As it was pulled out of her, the pain immediately stopped. 

She opened her eyes still trying to catch her breath. She's perspiring all over her face and body. Sweat seems to be dripping like falls from her forehead.

She reached for her forehead but stopped by the belts that strapped up her body. Andie ran to her right away and assisted her. She wipes her face with the clean white towel she may have been prepared earlier. 

"Ssshhhh...you're alright. I told you, I'll take care of you. Close your eyes now and rest." she whispered to her trying to calm her down.

She closed her eyes like what Andie told her to do. Now she can't remember why she's perspiring so much. She just feels like she needs to sleep now. She's very tired. She felt like she's swaying in a cradle with her mother when she's still a newborn. She can see her face close to her. Realized that she might be dreaming already by now. How can she possibly remember that? She felt silly for a moment. Until her mind got further away from her dreamland. She gave in and relaxed.

Andie reached for the trash bin with the towel she wiped Anika's face earlier. It's now drenched in blood. Anika's blood. She thought it was sweat that's why when Andie wiped her face, she didn't let Anika see the towel as soon as possible. For sure it will cause her to panic. She's sleeping now and still in trance because of the coffee she gave her earlier.

The rest of the crew with Andie right now are surgeons and other doctors to ensure that the host will make it to the procedure. They have to implant one of their kind inside of her for the transformation process. The doctors are fixing her now since it looks like the creature inside if Anika is securely attached to her brain now. 

Soon, Anika's brain will let go and this other species will take over her. It needs to be a parasite for the meantime so it will regenerate itself and have its own once the host loses it all.
