Bidding farewell to a dead romance should have never felt so gratifying, should have never incited so much passion and rapturous emotions.
He knew.
He knew he was enjoying himself too much for this to be regarded as a goodbye gesture, he was more welcoming than eliminating. The aim was to get her out of his system, to climb that stepping stone and get closer to the answer, to end his internal discord. Deep down, he honestly knew what he wanted, but he doubted and was certain it was not what he needed. He was running away from his desires and he could feel his fuel burning down, and the sheer will not to give in ,fade.
