Darius POV I woke up with a sore neck from sleeping in a pretty uncomfortable position, but I didn’t care if it meant that my mate would stop getting herself into trouble and being injured. Stretching to realise some of the tension in my back and shoulders. I looked at her peaceful sleeping form and just at looking at her sleep makes you think that she couldn’t cause anyone pain, but no behind that innocent exterior is a fierce and merciless warrior. I was still healing from when she bit me, mind you it was a surprisingly good darn bite. They had to give her extra anesthetic so she wouldn’t attack or run away when they operated on her to clean all her wounds and remove some stuff, she had in some of them, they also checked on her ribs that hadn’t healed and made sure they could heal by themselves and gave me medication to giver her if she needed it. A doctor walked in and spoke. “She will be asleep for a few more hours from the anesthetic but you can take her home to help her heal faster” The doctor took out the iv drip and finished righting stuff down on a clipboard and said that a nurse will be in to help me if I need assistance for anything with her. Nurse Cayley walked in soon after and asked if I needed any help with anything and I spoke. “How am I supposed to get her in my car when she’s in her wolf form?” the nurse seemed to think about it for a short amount of time until finding a way to do it. “You could carry her like when you brought her here, it shouldn’t affect her,” She said as she untucked the blanket that was on the bed and softy put it around her. I thought about that and realised I needed another person to help me out, so I mind linked my beta. “Hey, Decker, can you come to the hospital I need your help with something” I couldn’t say what I needed help with otherwise he probably wouldn’t want to help because she was the one to scratch him in the face. “You may leave now” she nodded and left; the other doctor informed that I would need to bring her back so they can take stitches out. I waited until Decker came into the room and stopped his complaining and calling her a psycho and lunatic, to get him to carry her out of the hospital and into the back seat of the car. He had to stay in the back seat with her which he hated. Once we arrived an in the driveway, I parked the car and opened the front door while Decker was still waiting impatiently to get out and away from her. I looked at Decker once I was back at the car and saw that he was sitting the furthest he possibly could away from her, looked at him for an explanation and he blurted it out. “She twitched, is she waking up if so hurry up and get her inside, I can’t tell is she waking up, I don’t want another cut from her, it's still healing ya know” I rolled my eyes and looked back at him as he watched her warily. I carefully picked her up and herd a chuckle from Decker I looked at him and asked. “What now” I swear he finds the smallest things funny, he’s such a child . “Nothing softy” I growled at him, and he put his hands up in surrender. “I am not soft, now hurry up and get out of the car and meet me in the lounge room once you’ve locked the car, Greyson and Emmet are waiting” he slowly stepped out of the car closing the door and locking it. “Finally, I get a chance to beat Emmet at a game we’ve been playing,” he said while running inside, all of a sudden forgetting who was in my arms. Walking inside I gently placed her on the dog bed Greyson got, I plopped down on the couch and looked down at her and thought to myself ‘why did you have to cause so much trouble, Camilla’. I found out her name when I found her “boss” and put her in one of the cells. Turning my attention back to what the others were doing to see them playing a random video game that involved fighting. Later when everyone stopped playing games and it was time for tea we headed over to the kitchen and cooked something to eat. Once everyone was finished eating and the dishes were done, we headed back to the lounge room and started to watch movies. The night dragged on, and I was the only one awake except for Greyson who was taking pictures of Emmet and Decker who were leaning against each other with drool hanging from their mouths. I stood up, stretched, said night to Greyson and headed up the stairs to my bedroom where I took a quick shower and changed. I crawled into bed and let my mind wander. It wandered to how we found Camilla, how bad her state was it seemed like she was having a constant battle in surviving. I mean she was hiding from me, and we did lose her sent for two months so I guess she completed that mission. Also, how the hell did none of my border patrols see her until she entered my territory by being sensed as a rouge walking in? Augh. I can’t deal with this tonight. The stupid mate bond has made it harder for me to rest easily without knowing where she is. My wolf was worried after we had lost her sent. I need a plan to make her stay and maybe then I can see what she does because she’s no normal rouge or wolf. There’s something different, odd, from her I don’t know what it is, but I’ll find that out. The plus side to this is that I have leverage, I have her boss and only friend in a cell. Her boss isn’t cooperating, and it seems that her friend knows nothing about who she really is. My eyes started to blur as my eyelids grew heavy and my mind just stopped thinking and went to the blackness that I welcomed as sleep. Time Skip Waking up from my sleep all I could hear was scratching coming from my door, then all of a sudden it stopped. Siting up I yawned, rubbed the sleep from my eyes and turned my light on and sat with my legs of the side of my bed. Bark! I jerked up straight not being prepared for a sound to jolt me fully awake. Groaning that my sleep was interrupted, I stood up and shuffled out the door and down the stairs to see Greyson looking at the floor with the fridge door open. I presume he dropped something, that is until Camilla ran past. As she ran past, she looked up at me with a glare and growled at me. I looked to Greyson for an answer as to why she had chicken, but all did was give a shrug, close the fridge door, and walked away. Crash! It was the sound of a window breaking from upstairs, growling could be heard from the same place. I let out a low growl and raced up the stairs readying myself for a fight. As I reached the broken window, I saw Camilla growling at the other wolf, her stance was rigid and readying to fight the other. In her condition, she wouldn’t stand a chance to fight with another wolf especially one that’s almost twice her height. The chicken was thrown to the side almost as if it were forgotten. Camilla was going to strike but before she did, I slipped past her and placed myself between the two of them. Looking at the brown male wolf my eyes changed from blue to silver, I growled at him, and he paused and showed a small amount of fear because I am an alpha and he knew he couldn’t take me on. He went back to normal like he suddenly wasn’t fazed by it anymore, he began to move around me. I didn’t let him I stood in the way letting him know he cannot pass without having to fight me. Which he would lose. Suddenly I felt someone pass me I look down to see that Camilla walked past me, paying no attention to me. She was snarling that caused her nose to wrinkle and her sharp teeth to show. The brown wolf started to run at her before she could do anything, I stepped in front of her and grabbed the wolfs throat holding it tight until he nearly passed out. I then threw him back and he fell out of the window, and I could see him run away back into the forest. Camilla growled at me softly and walked away probably downstairs to go lay down. I picked the half-eaten chicken up and most of the glass shards that were big enough to pick up and went to the kitchen to put the stuff in the bin. I looked over to the dog bed and saw her curled up on the couch instead. I rolled my eyes and went back upstairs to bed.
