Chapter 13

"I was about to take a revenge for you" Atlas said with a mild voice surrounding by deafening sound of the crowd yelling for Quinn.

"What? I can't barely hear you" Charlotte replied.

"Let's talk later at lunch time" he yelled back.

She nodded her head and yelled for Quinn while Quinn was walking down the stage and waving as goodbye.

All students started to rise and ambles the door outside. In a jam of students they were so brayed wherefore some of them lost gheir friends and other classmates that should be grouped.

Ivory wardly walked towards the door cause by pushing by students surround her suddenly, a glimpse of a hand touches her, as usual she thought it was Quinn, she looked back but can't see who it was cuz it was surrounded by students but it's still holding her hands hardly. She got scared and at the same time she's confused. Who was it? Because of curiosity she hardly pulled it and a man just bursted out and bumped to her. Liam was so close to Ivory glancing at her pretty eyes, looking forward to see feelings. While she's literally staring back at him while holding his hand. Liam accidentally wrapped his one arm through Ivory's body, holding her one hand. Then suddenly one student bumped at them hardly caused their both face to get closer until another student bumped at them once again that made them separate to each other.

"Hold my hands" Liam yelled at her in deafening voice of the crowd encompassed them.

He rises his hand and give it to her while she's reluctant to hold back but a big wave changed her mind and hurriedly hold him back. The crowd gave them weakness to walk but they tried to push and walked hardly to go back to their room fast for the exam.

Those bird outside were chirping and from the window, Quinn was sitting and waiting for the next subject while she's looking up thruough the window to see those birds.

There was two birds above the branch of the tree, one of them was fixing the nest underneath them using it's beak while the other one was sitting looking so relaxed. She thinks that it was a couple bird and the girl was starting to lay eggs. Meanwhile, the bird who's fixing the nest flew away to search for food and while flying, a lost dart stricken at him causing his death, the bird fall over the window and stuck at the edge. She quickly opened the window and and look for the bird but the bird was loosing his breath and after a second it didn't breathe at all.

Well, life is too short. Sometimes your time, comes in wrong time. Sometimes you need to suffer before your life is even taken, or sometimes it is taken just suddenly. The biggest regret was you didn't do something you want and something you need before you die. But sometimes that wrong timing was very abominable, why? Cuz theres a time that you did what you want and what you need but before you even finish that, you suddenly loose your life. Despite he fact that, when that time comes, you need to give up on your life. Enough is enough, you've been through enough, it's fixed. He has plan, that's why you have time.

The subject teacher emerges the door, Quinn lay the dead bird at the edge of the window and then closed it. The started to tackle the introduction, and passed the exam papers throughout all the childrens in class. A minjste after discussing the class gine quiet, only the sound of the air blowing you can only hear.

The subject was humanity... "What?" Quinn got shock didn't know that humility would be the subject of the exam. She flipped the bage fack amd fort to read some of it just to know, maybe there just malfunction but all the questions was about humanity. Every page has one question and there was fife question in the exam, but she needs to answer it in essay form. She read the first question carefully. It says "how it feels if you have a high position?" As she thinks about it deeply. How was it feels like? And then she speak through her self saying, "I don't need a higher position, cuz I deserve just a piece of bread."

She remembered at her past when she was only seven. She remembered when it was her first time to attend an international pres-conference. An american speaker was invited to give a speach. He started to tell a story and at the end of his inspiring speech was the lesson he taught. He said that there was a former secretary of defense who was invited to give a speech at a large conference, about a thousand people. And he was standing in stage with his cup of coffee in a styrofoam cup. And he took a sip of his coffee and smiled, he looked down in the coffee, and then he went off-script. He said 'you know last year, I spoke at this exact same conference. Last year I was still under secretary and when I spoke here last year, they flew me here business class. And when I arrived at the airport, there was somebody waiting for me to take to my hotel. And they take to to my hotel and they had already checked me in, and they just tooke me up to my room. In the next morning I came down stairs, and they drove me to this exact same venue, and handed me a cup of coffee in a beautiful ceramic cup. But now I'm no longer under secretary. I flew here coach I took a taxi to my hotel and I checked my self in. When I came down the lobby this morning I took another taxi to this venue. When I asked someone "do you have any cup of coffee?" He pointed to the coffee machine on the corner and I poured a cup of coffee to my own styrofoam cup. He says "the lesson is, the ceramic cup was never ment for me. It was ment for the position I held. I deserve a styrofoam cup." Remember this, as you gain fame, as you gain fortune, as you gain position and seniority, people would treat you better. They would hold doors open for you. They will get you a cup of coffee or tea without even asking, none of that stuff was meant for you. That stuff was for the position you hold. It is meant for the level that you have achieved of, a leader or success or what ever you want to call it but you will always recieve a styrofoam cup. Remember that lesson of humility and gratitude. You can accept all free stuff, you can accept all the perks, absolutely you can enjoy them, but just be greatfull for them, and know that they're not for you.
