"Did you wait long?" Mia got into my car, which was already parked and waiting, and immediately asked. We had arranged to have lunch this afternoon, so I was running a bit late today because I waited for her to finish preparing for the event she was in charge of.
"No, not at all. By the way, what do you feel like eating? Are you hungry?"
"Not yet. There's something I want to ask you first," Mia said, turning to look at me as I was about to drive off.
"What do you want to ask me?" I turned to ask Mia and slowly drove the car towards the front of the company.
"Well... oh, there's Mandy! Troy, pull over! Stop right now!" Mia spotted a woman who had just had a spat with me walking on the sidewalk in front of the company and told me to stop the car immediately.
