Gideon dashed there and pounced Travis on the face. “That fake video is your work.”
The CEO Moore was so mad that he slapped Gideon twice. “Is disgracing me not enough for you? Why on earth do you want to ruin me completely?”
“Please, try to understand me. We are innocent. The only person I suspected was this wicked Travis. We need to imprison him for tarnishing our image. He made me take my clothes off in public that day and today he disgraced us with fake videos.”
Calvin grabbed the collar of Travis, his red eyes almost popped out of his eyes. “I was right. You are behind the fake video, confess now or you rot in jail.”
CEO Moore pushed Calvin away and clenched his other fist as he took out his phone, dialing the phone number of a police officer. “I make sure you live the easiest life I didn’t enjoy during my childhood. Is this how you would repay? You must not step into my house to take a pin, and I would go against anyone who offers to help you.
“I can tell your intention is to bring me down and get all my money. I will teach you and your terrible friend unforgettable lessons before I send you away.”
CEO Douglass didn’t buy the idea of calling the police. He has been watching silently because he was suppressing his anger at finding a better way to punish the two idiots.
“Police cannot punish them the way I want,” CEO Douglass said, taking out his Samsung Galaxy. “I must call General Ben.”
General Ben accepted the call at the first ring and CEO Douglass gave him twenty minutes to send four soldiers to the hall.
Gideon and Calvin exchanged glances. Gideon’s eyes showed panic while Calvin’s eyes started to fill with tears.
“Don’t dare to take a move there. If you take any move, I will get your legs cut off,” CEO Douglass said.
“Please father,” Calvin went on his knee. “Please don’t watch me suffer. I do nothing wrong. It was Travis that created this chaos. I don’t expect you to support him.”
“Do you know who he was? You don’t only tell lies against him, you pounced on his face. How on earth could you do that?” CEO Moore asked.
“Gideon pounced him, not me. And father, he attended my wedding to take revenge because his ex-girlfriend became my best friend.”
“We should have punished him more severely and he should be jailed. He is just a merely a deliveries boy, who runs errands and sleeps in a poor home. If you want to punish us, don’t do it because of him,” Gideon said and then kneeled too.
“Now I can see you guys are trying to put your crimes on him. I, your father, invited him to this wedding personally.”
Gideon and Calvin exchanged glances, wondering who Travis was.
Three police officers walked in and CEO Douglass stopped them from coming close. "You can’t handle this job. We’re so sorry for bothering you."
CEO Moore took the police officers to one side and explained the reason CEO Douglass was right.
The officers had no option but to accept the apology and turned to leave.
“Please don’t leave us,” Calvin and Gideon chorused as if they planned it.
Calvin kowtowed before Travis and cried out, “Please forgive us. We don’t know you are powerful like this.”
Travis watched them in silence, waiting for the army to arrive before leaving.
When the four soldiers arrived, one of them wanted to know what Calvin and Gideon did wrong because they looked innocent by the way they were shedding tears, and then asked.
CEO Douglass furrowed his brow. “Must you ask me questions before doing what your general sent you here to do? Do you want to lose your job?”
“I’m sorry, sir,” he quickly saluted, because CEO Douglass was the father of his general. He dashed towards Calvin and Gideon, scolding them to keep shut.
Then at that moment, a familiar voice came without asking for permission, “Don’t touch my son.”
Looking back, the people split into two sides for Gideon’s father to enter with ten soldiers. Although he was a mere millionaire, but had a powerful aura because he was a cheerful giver and had a connection with CEO Silas, a multimillionaire.
Some people were preparing themselves to run because they were sure the event would end up with the two parties attacking each other.
“Mr. Garry cherishes his son so much, he can’t watch them beat his son no matter how powerful and rich they were,” someone said to others.
“He spent most of his money on the orphans and the widows. That’s why he didn’t have the chance to be a billionaire. He once said being a millionaire is enough for him,” another person said.
“Mr. Garry is stubborn. He won’t want to lose the fight. We have to be ready to run because CEO Douglass has thousands of soldiers in his command.”
Some woman grabbed their kids’ hands and hurried out while others waited in curious to see the end.
“We need to discipline both of them because they did the wrong thing,” CEO Douglass said. “You should stay back and watch, Mr. Garry.”
Gideon stood up as he saw his father.
“Who told you to stand up?” CEO Moore asked.
“I can’t kneel for anything, even if I am wrong,” Gideon snapped back.
“Do you think your father can prevent me from punishing you today?” CEO Douglass asked and commanded his four soldiers to beat Gideon.
“No! You can’t punish him for me. There’s no amount of beating him you can do that would satisfy me because he had disgraced my image and my name. Please let me punish him myself,” Mr. Garry said.
Gideon went back to his knees with paralyzed fear, thinking it would be better for him to receive punishment from the CEO Douglass’s soldiers rather than from his father’s side.
