The Celestials

Sam My whole world had turned upside down. What did I ever do to deserve the s**t I was being put through. All I had ever wanted to do was live my life, find my mate, get married, and have a family. Now, everything seemed to be crashing down before me. I couldn't eat, sleep, or even feel like getting out of bed. I just hoped Colleen knew how much I loved her and that I would never do anything intentionally to hurt her. "Sam, get your ass out of bed. It's five-thirty in the afternoon," Christian came barging in my room, jumping on my bed. "Get out, Christian. I don't want to get up. Just let me sleep, please." I pulled the blanket back over my head, trying to kick Christian off the bed. "You have two seconds to get out of the f*****g bed, or I am going to drag your ass out of it, kicking and screaming like a little girl," Christian said, getting off the bed, trying to pull the blanket off. I rolled up in the blanket like a burrito, ensuring he couldn't get a good grip on it. Little did I know, the next thing I knew, he, Elijah, Rex, and Lucius were all in my room, grabbing me and dragging me out of my room, down the stairs, and out back to the pool deck. They tossed me in the pool like it was nothing. "DAMMIT, GUYS. IT'S f*****g COLD!!!!" Shivering like a leaf on a tree, I got out as fast as I could and ran back into the house, passing the kitchen staff and other Omegas, hearing them snicker as I went by soaking wet like a cat that just got thrown in water. Don't get me wrong, wolves were very warm-blooded and could handle the cold to an extent, more so in wolf form, but in human form, it was just like that as if I was a human. Plus, it was December. I could hear all the guys laughing and howling as they stood in the kitchen, grabbing some snacks. "f**k you! f**k all of you," I flipped every one of them off. "Don't be such a sore loser, Sam," Christian chuckled. "Your butt shouldn't have been in bed at five-thirty in the afternoon," Elijah stated. "Don't feel bad man, they did the same thing to me not long ago," Lucius said, trying to hold in his laughter. I went upstairs, got a hot shower, and then came back down to meet the guys out on the patio to drink with them. "What do you say? We all go out tonight for a few drinks, just us guys. The ladies are going to have a day for themselves pretty soon, so let's go out tonight," Rex got all of our attention. He took his glass of scotch, turned it up, slammed his glass upside down, and displayed a sly grin. I know what that meant. We were getting hammered tonight. I needed a night out, one I definitely need to forget. I wanted to drink my worries and sorrows away. The excitement of going out with my brothers started overcoming the gloomy, depressing last several weeks I had. I couldn't wait to have fun. "What do you have in mind, man," Elijah spoke up, clinking his ice around in his glass. "Let's try somewhere different. There is a new club for supernaturals, 'The Celestials,' that just got built a few years ago over on third and Lexington. They have humans come in there too, but more supernaturals go there than humans. I see it advertised all over the place and have been wanting to take Evie but haven't had a chance," Rex stated as he poured another glass of scotch. "What do you say, Sam? Well, you know what, it doesn't matter what you say because you are going anyway and you are not driving. Before the night is over with, we will be carrying your drunk ass out of there," Christian smiled an evil smile. I knew by the way Christian was talking, I wasn't going to be able to function by the time we left this club. Frankly, I didn't really care at this point. Colleen had been trying to avoid me ever since what happened, and I didn't blame her for being mad and upset, but the way she was acting, like I was the last person on Earth she wanted to see, hurt me more than I deserved. It was time to man up, go have fun, and forget about everything for a while. I may not be worth s**t the next morning, but I was going to go enjoy myself and not feel guilty about it. If Colleen needed time, well then, I would give her all the time she needed. In the meantime, I am not putting my life on hold just because she didn't want to talk things out and try to fix our marriage like adults. "Let's do it, guys. I need a night out, and I think time with my brothers is just what the doctor ordered," I smiled, giving Christian and the other guys a brotherly hug. I finished my drink, went upstairs to get ready. I splashed a bit of my Cool Water cologne on and went down to the living room to wait for the rest of the guys. "Good minds think alike," Rex chuckled, moving his hand up and down in front of himself to show me we were dressing alike. "They sure do," I replied, shaking my head at him. The rest of the guys came barreling down like a pack of wolves, "Whooo, who's ready for a good night?!" Christian yelled, clapping his hands together. We all piled into the Tahoe. Rex was driving because he knew where we were going. Elijah was riding shotgun, then behind them was me behind Rex and Christian behind Elijah and Lucius in the middle of us, leaving Easton, Evan, and Ethan in the very back. The ride into the city didn't take as long as I thought. Rex was right. The club looked very popular and very new. The parking lot was packed, so we opted to park right across the street and just walk across. Once we reached the sidewalk, I couldn't help but admire the entrance. The sign with the name The Celestials was lit up bright green and blue with dark neon wolf eyes in the background. It had other supernatural markings all around the words, such as a witches symbol, angel wings, demon horns, a bear claw, and a few more markings. This place was top-notch for the supernatural world, even though humans did show up now and again. We made our way up to the entrance, coming toe to toe with the biggest man I have ever seen. He was at least a foot taller than Rex, and Rex was the tallest guy in our pack. "Good evening gentlemen, welcome to The Celestials. I.D.'s, please?" We pulled our license out, taking turns to show the man at the door. Once we were in, we stopped, taking in all the scenery and the fresh smell of paint and the place's newness. "Did anyone else notice how freaking huge that guard is that's at the door? He makes Rex look like a pup," holding my stomach, laughing. "He's a purebred werebear," Rex replied. "So that is what a full-blooded werebear looks like? Damn, he's enormous." Elijah stated, shaking his head in amazement. "Remember, I am only half-bred, wolf and bear," Rex looked at us, following Elijah to the bar. We slid past girls booty dancing and humping each other and the guys behind them. They were really getting into it, dipping and swinging their hips. The music was pretty good. Definitely dancing music. We stopped at the bar, each finding a stool to sit on as the bartender came up to get our drink orders. He was larger than Rex's size, dark-complected with tattoos starting at his wrists and going all the way up to his arms and neck. Where did they get these massive ass men to work in a club? His face looked grave and very professional at his job. "The name's Jonas. What can I get you guys?" Jonas spoke, grabbing some glasses from a shelf behind him. "I'll have a whiskey on the rocks," Lucius ordered. "Scotch for me," Rex raised his hand. "Flame Throwers for the rest of us," Christian chuckled, rubbing his palms together. "What the hell is a Flame Thrower, or do I even want to know?" Evan asked with his eyebrow raised. "You will soon find out. All I can say is a few of these bad boys, and you're going to be out there doing what they're doing," Christian had one of the flaming drinks in his hand as he pointed to the crowd on the dance floor. "Christian, I will kick your ass if you let me get out there and make a fool of myself," I said, looking down into the little blue fireball in my glass. "And I will kick your ass if you don't record Sam out there acting a fool," Elijah laughed as he raised his glass. "Here's to a night for the guys," Elijah raised his glass, all of us clinking them together, blew out the flames, then turned the shots up. I could feel the smooth liquid burning all the way down my throat as I felt it starting to heat up in my stomach. "Damn, Christian, what in the world was in that?" Ethan was gagging and chasing it with a beer. "Is it normal not to be able to feel my mouth? Might as well poured straight gasoline down my throat." Evan was trying to cool his mouth off by popping some ice in his mouth. "The Flame Thrower has six different kinds of liquor and two different flavors of juice, mixed with a little bit of Red Bull. Mix it up, and you have one hell of a concoction." Christian smiled big. "More like one hell of a hangover. I know we are wolves, and wolf liquor and human liquor are two different kinds, but I am pretty sure if I drink more of those, I'll have alcohol poisoning," I laughed, making Christian order a few more. We finished our shots as Rex started to order some more drinks, and the rest of us found a big enough table to the back of the club that would seat us all comfortably. He came over with the tray of drinks, sat them down, and started handing them out left and right. "These, my friends, are what you call Garbage Cans," Rex smiled a sly smile, raising his glass and downing it right there. "What is up with these crazy drink names?" I pulled my glass to my nose to get a whiff of it. Not as bad as the first one, I thought. I poured the liquid into my mouth, tasting the flavors of the mixed alcohol. The night went on, drink after drink, shot after shot until I was to the point my vision was completely blurred, and my speech was no longer coherent. Our waitress was making killer tips tonight. I couldn't help but stare at her working as I managed to stumble back to our table and sit down. I placed my head between my legs, which was probably a bad idea because the next thing I knew, the room was spinning. I stood up to go outside and get some air when I bumped into a young waitress carrying a tray full of drinks. The whole tray spilled on her. She stood there staring at me like she could kill me. "Dammit, I actually thought for one night, I was not going to end up wearing alcohol. I see I was wrong," the curly red-haired waitress said, grabbing a handful of napkins to clean herself up and pick up the tray and broken pieces of glass. "I am so sorry. Let me help you clean this up," I slurred, trying to help pick up the broken glass, cutting my finger in the process. "Oh, s**t. Let me get you a bandaid," the waitress went to walk away, but I caught her arm, "It's okay, I don't need one. I heal rather quickly." "You must be a wolf," she laughed, rolling her eyes. "I can sense your one also. Sorry, I can smell your scent. It's not bad or anything." Feeling like an i***t, I walked to the exit, stepped outside, and took a deep breath of the crisp night air. I felt so stupid, being so drunk, then embarrassing myself in front of a beautiful woman. She must think I am an i***t. I got cooled off, went back inside, and could see all the guys at the table laughing as they spotted me standing in the doorway. "Sam, you feeling okay, man? I saw you collide with the waitress a minute ago," Elijah pat me on the shoulder as I stepped to our table and taking a seat. "Yea, I think I have had enough to drink, though. I'm just going to sit here and sober up a bit." "Well, that little redhead over there told me to give you this in case you need it," Rex leaned over the table, handing me a bandaid. I took it and went to put it in my pocket when I noticed something written on it. I flipped it over and read, 'Sorry about the incident, free drink on me, Lucy :)' "I think you may have a secret admirer, Sam." Lucius laughed, getting a drink of his beer. "No. Hell No. s**t like this is what got me in the position I am in now. If I wasn't mated, married, and with a family, I may give it a thought, but my heart belongs to Colleen." The waitress came back, took a few more of our orders, "I'll just have a water," I said as she winked at me then went back to the kitchen. "Oh yeah, she definitely wants you," Ethan laughed. "I think I need to talk to her and let her know I am mated and married before she gets any ideas." Lucy made it back to our table and began placing our drinks and food on the table with extra napkins and another basket of peanuts. "Hey, can I talk to you for a second?" Trying to get Lucy's attention as she sat the last drink down. I stood from the table and stepped away from the guys so they wouldn't hear us, but who am I kidding? We're wolves. We can listen to anything at least five miles away. "I hope you didn't get the wrong impression of me as being single, but I am mated, married, and we have a daughter." "Yes, you are a very good looking man, and if you were available, I would have to make a move on your sexy ass. I am glad you are an honest man too. All the other horndogs that come in here are married and end up trying to get with me, but I am not a homewrecker and will not interfere with the mate bond or any other bond out there. She is fortunate to have a sweet and generous man like you," Lucy winked, smiling at me. "Thank you for that. It has been really rough for me the last month but hearing those words, even if it is from a complete stranger, makes me realize I am a good man and don't deserve to be treated the way my mate has been treating me." Lucy c****d her head to the side, "I didn't mean to stir up any harsh feelings," she raised her hands in defense. "I didn't mean to vent my life story to you," I chuckled, feeling my face turn red. "Oh, my name is Sam, by the way." "Lucy," she shook my hand. "I do have to get back to work, but if you or your friends need anything, just flag me down. If you ever need anything or anyone to talk to, you can always find me here," she handed me a business card and waved, and walked away, carrying her ordering pad and tray back to the kitchen with her. I looked at the card with the club's name wrote on it and Lucy's name and number written on the back. The guys were eating and enjoying a conversation when I walked back up and took my seat. "Everything good?" Rex asked, popping a fry into his mouth. "Yea, it is. I think she's a pretty good girl, little on the wild side, but for the most part, she has morals." "I really thought she was fixing to f**k you right here on this table," Elijah laughed as he bit into his steak. "I would never cheat on Colleen and break our bond. I may be a lot of things in her eyes right now, but a cheater is not one of them." "We know, man. Chill, we're just giving you hell," Christian pat me on the back and handing me a beer. We finished eating and drinking our beer, then spent some more time talking and bullshitting around. We were getting ready to walk out the door when Lucy stepped to the entrance in front of us, "Bye guys. If you all need anything, Sam has one of my business cards with my number on it. We have special events and holiday specials too, so if you all need something to do for New Years', come on out and rent one of our VIP suites upstairs. We are closed on Christmas." Lucy pointed above us to a room with neon lights blinking against the ceiling and walls. "Will do. Thank you for all your hospitality and service," Elijah gave her a quick nod, leading us out the door one by one. "Sam, remember what I told you. You are a good man and deserve to be happy too and not pay for all your mistakes for the rest of your life. Your mate needs to realize that," Lucy leaned up on her tiptoes and gave me a sweet kiss on my cheek. "Thanks, Lucy. Take care of yourself," giving her a smile, then turned to walk out the door. "You too, Sam. You too." I walked across the street, the guys were all waiting for me, "It took you long enough. I saw her giving you a little parting gift. She seems like a good girl," Christian stated, looking out the window at the club. "You know, I think she is, honestly. I have to say tonight was a good night. I got drunk, didn't puke or pass out, get in a fight, or end up in bed with some strange woman. I met a new friend, and I hope one day she finds a mate that is just like her." The ride home was quick as we pulled into the garage, "Guys, wake up. We're home," Elijah stated. We got out and managed to stumble ourselves into the house and upstairs. Rex and Lucius passed out in the living room on the wrap-around couch. I took my time walking up the few flights of stairs, holding onto the side rail as I was still a little drunk. Opening my bedroom door, I didn't even take the time to take my clothes off. Instead, I threw my shoes off and collapsed on the bed, letting sleep take over.
