I hid amidst the bushes surrounding the safe house. I could feel the crisp, cold nighttime air, but I was too lost in my thoughts to feel cold. Despite my wolf urging me to stay, Damien's actions left me furious and hurt, prompting me to get away.
“Luna, give mate a chance to apologize; you are the one who pushed him to lose control.” Rose whimpered in my head.
“I just need to get away for a little.” I sighed at my stubborn wolf.
Remaining still and silent, I heard a loud commotion in the house's front, and went unnoticed.
