She picked up the broken pieces of glass and ran of in tears trembling and as she ran off she stumbled upon the chief chef,Mr Larose.He asked her why she was crying and she explained what transpired between her and Mr Albert,he sighed and apologized on his behalf then told her to go and clean herself up. When Mr and Mrs Salma Edmond came back,the chef Mr Larose met them in the sitting room after dinner.Mrs Edmond looked up from the book she was reading and greeted the head chef. “Good evening Mr Larose,what brought you here when you ought to be resting.The dinner today was splendid,I couldn't help but wow,she said in addition.It was indeed marvelous. Mr Larose beamed with smiles and replied ‘thank you ma’am,I would have been resting by now if not for your son's attitude today, it's really getting out of hand”. Mr Edmond sighed and asked “what is it this time?” Peggy,the coffee maid made him coffee this afternoon and he gave her prescriptions on how to add the sugar and milk.She took the coffee to him after making it and after he took a sip,he threw the hot coffee on her, saying that the sugar was much,he even swore to her.Sir, Ma'am his attitude is really getting out of her, I can't really control him these days and with this attitude of his,I don't think our workers can handle it,Mr Larose reported. Mrs Salma sighed and asked,how is she doing now?.After adding some medicines,I think she will good after a few days of rest. Thank you for watching over for us,Mrs Edmond greeted the head chef, reprimanding has always been a solution but right now, I'm confused.His younger brothers,Chalamat and Adele are doing so much better than he even could.He is the oldest, nothing to show of it and still,the black sheep of the family. At this point,Albert walked in the middle of the middle of the discussion.The head chef looked at him and said, ‘at think he needs to get some real work with that he wouldn't have the time to take hot coffee or even check the coffee’s sugar.That’s right,Mr Edmond said snapping out of his dark mode, you're just right.I’ve never thought of that, that's a very nice idea.Working from home gives him to ideology of being lazy as well in as much as it also seems like he's doing nothing. Now it was like a battle of words between father and son,”you should know that I am the true owner of all the companies and will give him to whoever I want to so with time, I will decide who to give the company over to,Mr Edmond said.He knew that triggered him but he didn't give a shit.Someone as hardened as he needs that solid hand. The next day,Albert took his bath early Noin the morning and went to work.His parents were surprised to see him at work even the workers were shocked but he had other plans.It was just like a showoff,go to work, show your presence and get back home without stress.Soon nobody was complaining much,at least he leaves for work. Now in another family else, things were taking another turn.Amelia is a girl from a rich family but lives the life of a pauper.Her mom left when she was ten due to the way her father brutally maltreated her.During her early years, despite having a rich dad,she and her mom weren't really showing off that fact.He didn't care much about then because he was married to her against his will.She was married to him according to the family's tradition.After some years,he got a mistress.Then he took a salvage turn and really abused her.She(Rina) left when she knew that her child was of age and ran away.Then he had the chance and full rights to get married to another woman because she left on her own.So after everything,Mr Saintz got married to the woman of his choice,Mrs Ambeni Saintz .Ambeni was from a rich family and had influential connections because of her family.She met Mr Saintz on one of the business gatherings that was held in the honour of his company.There he saw and felt she was too gorgeous and they became friends, with time their became close and she became his mistress.Finally,his wife left and he was able to marry her,by that time she was already pregnant for his first.By the time she gave birth Amelia was already 6.She named her son Meme.After she gave birth,she made sure that most of the nanny duties was given to Amelia despite her little age.And she made sure she was deprived of her father's love even though he doesn't take care of her that much.Amelia was taken care of by the maids in the house because her mom was so kind when she still their ma'am.A day came when Ambani shut the door on Amelia because she didn't wash her son's napkins.Her father came back and saw her outside, questioned her and shouted at her instead of defending her.He let her stay outside till it started raining late in the night.The gardener bought her in before time and the rain started as they went to bed.The chef made her dinner and they washed her up.The cleaner made sure to wash the napkins before morning.She caught a cold because of been out in the cold weather.Her father didn't care much about that and her stepmom was worse.The chef stopped her from going to school to that day so that she would be able to keep a close eye on her. Two years later,Ambani’s child was now of age and was then supposed to be in school then.She asked her husband to put him in one of the most prestigious schools in the country.Of course,he was growing up well in a rich family with a father and mother's love in abundance while Amelia just lived her life like no one cares.She made sure to read well and make good grades even though her father never cared about When Meme was five,Ambani became pregnant again with her second child.The house was like hell for everyone during that period.Every little thing pisses her off even more when Amelia was around.The thought of her growing intelligent, strong and beautiful even without her mother makes her sick.And Amelia herself was very thoughtful.Some of her the expensive jewelries which her stepmom abandons,she packs it and gives it the gardener who sells it for her.From ther me she saves,even as little as she was,she knew her to keep savings.Her father still took care of her though because she was still a child and can't fend well for herself.Ambani tries to use every little mistake she makes to get on her but Amelia was already used to it most from her father.She cries bitterly each time she remembers her mum but feeds herself on the thought that if she read well and graduates successfully in the university,she would get a nice job and take good care of herself. Ambani's time was due and she gave birth to a baby girl.She looks like her father and was very cute.At that time, Amelia was twelve and Meme six.Ambani was so happy and sad at same day with the news coming from the doctors.They told her she couldn't give birth again because something was wrong with her womb.They discovered the pills she took for weight loss to keep in shape during her highschool days disfigured some parts of her stomach including her womb.Her husband was angry with her because she didn't tell him.She got home that day looking pale and dissatisfied.Amelia minded her business as she has always does and made sure not to show up at the dinner table that night.Two months later,a beautiful evening, Amelia was at the table for dinner,shortly the mother of the house joined them and they started eating.Halfway through the meal,Ambani told her husband that Amelia should no longer eat at the table and she's old enough to eat alone in her room.Mr Saintz not trying to make his wife angry and not being a supportive father asked Amelia out of the table but Meme put up an act. “But mom, Amelia has been nothing but sweet, whenever you're at work and is not here to feed me,she does so.She consoles me whenever I cry after you go to the parties with dad and makes sure I read my books and get my assignments right,Meme cried out “But she's not your sister,Ambani said and you don't know the bad mind she has.Her evil mom left her here obviously because she's not wanted and I wouldn't be the one wanting her. Amelia was so hurt and left the table crying.Her father couldn't do anything about the situation.They continued the dinner and from that day onwards, Amelia stopped appearing at the table.She always ate in her room,alone. At a certain time,the maids noticed and consoled her and made sure she ate with them for her not to feel the absence of her mom or feel depressed.Sure it wasn't a happy life but there's nothing more to do of the situation.Moreover,her stepmom has always enjoyed seeing her in pains. At twelve Amelia was in highschool,yeah she grew up really fast and was very brilliant as well.She was a beauty too.Her teacher, Miss Garvier saw this and decided to encourage her to joined the school’s modeling team,that as a start.This she did and within a month of joining,a competition came up and she won.She became the face for a modeling brand from there.Really grace was flowing with her.She met different people from different places but also tried as much to concentrate on her studies too.Her groomer also tried his best to see that she balances both sides,both the education and her modeling career.By the time Amelia was seventeen, Ambani's second child,Kaira was six and was growing very beautifully as well but she has her mom's bad character.She was greedy,saucy and acted too smart.She would bully kids at her age and get away with it because her dad was rich.And oh yes,none of these affected Amelia because she wasn't in same school with them.She has always not been a part of the family and has kept up to it like that.She most times talk with Meme but you know how that would be,it was whenever his mom wasn't in.At this time too,her savings grew too and her big time was coming,her eighteenth birthday.It’s a big celebration for most daughters of the house but it wouldn't be like that for her.
