Chapter 1
~Ellis
I worked at this company for three years. I never really had much thought about changing careers. Until I met the CEO's son, Prince. I'm the assistant of the CEO, so I know the handful he can be.
The I don't care attitude gets me the most about him. He thinks I'm his maid or something. Price is getting on my nerves.
"Dude, I need your chair?" Price said
"What? Why my chair?" I kind of snarled at him. He looked at me.
"What is your deal?" He asked leaning closer to me.
I get up, pushing my chair over to him. I was bitting back my tongue, walking off to the break room.
"Hey, I wasn't done talking to you," Price hollar after me.
I kept walking. I was done with him. I was done here but I need this job. I can't be a disappointment to my family. I really to get away from him. I walked into the break room. I made a cup of coffee. I took a sip.
"I don't know how you do it, Ellis. He's hot," Mar sighed.
"He's also childish," I muttered.
"Isn't he your type?" She asked.
"I don't have a type. I'm a workaholic," I sighed.
"Well not tonight," Mar turn me around.
"What?"
"You're going out with me and some of my friends," She smiled.
"No, I don't go out and drink or socialize for that matter," I stated.
"But you are tonight," Mar smirked.
"No, I'm not going out," I growled.
"But you are. So find some nice clothes to wear tonight," She smiled and walked out. I rolled my eyes and grab a muffin. I walked back to my desk seeing Price sitting in my chair.
He looked at me. I rolled my eyes and rolled him away from my desk. I hear him rolling back over to my desk. I looked over at him.
"Awe, don't give me that look," Price smirked at me. I rolled my eyes and continue working. I felt someone pull me down by the waist.
"Wha-?" I yelped slightly getting caught off guard. I looked at who pulled me down and of course, it was Price.
I try to wiggle out of his grips. I gently him gripping my waist a bit tighter. I felt him nuzzle into my back. I pushed away from him. I leaned against my desk.
"Ellis, my office," Mr. Pepper said. I fix my tie and walked into his office. I walk in and shut the door behind me.
"Yes sir," I said, placing hands behind my back.
"So, you and my son,"
"I'm confused," I said.
"He seems to like you," Mr. Pepper said.
"I don't think so. I just tolerate him," I said
"Well, keep tolerating him. I don't want any business affair at my office. So, stay away from him,"
"Well, I can try," I said
"Don't try. You will. Now, you can go finish your other duty then you should be good to leave," Mr. Pepper said, waving me to leave. I nodded and left the office. I headed back to my desk. I sighed placing the palm to my forehead. I move my hands away and pack up my stuff. I headed out of the office.
I should probably find a new job. I need to avoid Price, even tho he follows me around all down. I walked to the cafe. I walk in.
"Ellis, the usual," The lady asked.
"Yes," I said pulling out my wallet.
"It's on me today," I felt someone wrap their arm around my shoulder.
"Price, your gonna make me lose my job," I growled.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to," Price said softly.
"You're a child playing with people's feelings and not understanding who your playing and your feelings," I scold him.
"I'm sorry. I don't mean to, Ellis," Price whimpered.
"You never do. Not all of us are rich," I sighed and walked to the table with my food.
"So, you hate me that much,"
"Your 24 years old and you act like your 13," I looked at him, " I work my ass off while you slack off."
"That not a good enough reason," Price grabs me by my shirt.
"It's to," I growled slapping his hand away.
"So your mad because you don't have a social life," He pulled me close.
"I'm mad because you won't leave me alone and it's causing my career, " I looked at him, " Like that matters to you."
"What do you mean?" Price looks at me.
"You won't get it, Price. So, forget it. Your dad gonna find another assistant, " I sighed.
"Because of me messing with you," He tilts his head. I looked down and continue eating, "ANSWER ME!"
"It doesn't matter, Price just leave me alone," I told him. I heard him stopping off. I knew I shouldn't have done that but it had to be done.
