Amaryllis I squeezed my eyes closed again. When they opened for what had to have been the fourth time, only a few hours had passed. I was sleeping, just not for long and I would pay for it in the morning. I tried to blame the lack of sleep on the fact that I was not used to sleeping at night. Being a nocturnal creature, it was strange drifting through dreams when I was usually stalking in the night. The thing is, it’s really hard to lie to yourself.
