The tears won't stop flowing from my eyes, and I can't stop screaming either. They're mercilessly beating Arthur, and he isn't fighting back; he's letting them do whatever they want to him.
"Why are you doing this?" I demand from the guards. "Let him go!" I scream.
I feel like it's been hours before they finally stop. I watch in horror as they drag his bloody body out of the room. I watch helplessly as they continue to carry him throughout the hallway. The two guards holding onto my arms force me forward, behind him.
After a few minutes, they throw both of us into the room they keep me locked up in.
I rush to Arthur's side and gently cup his cheeks with both of my hands.
"Why did you do that?" I shout in dismay as I see all of the bruises all over his body.
