57. LOSS AND LOVE
Ivy had set up a medical camp behind Fidella’s warriors. Praised be to the Goddess that so far she had only had to help around twenty wolves because as fast as they were hurt, their Luna and Alpha were healing most of them. Occasionally, a wolf’s body would be brought to her with its eyes already closed. It was clear that either their death had been instant, or they were just too far away from their leaders. Despite their passing, she still held their hands, and said a prayer for their union with Selene before respectfully covering their faces with linen.
