Chapter 6: Strange Jade

Severe pain, spreading throughout her body, Jaina could even see the broken ribs in her chest. Ignoring her injuries, she managed to stand up and began chanting the spell —— Great Water Elemental, listen to your master's call, come when your master needs you most, cleanse the world of its sins! As the incantation was chanted, all the moisture in the air was absorbed by Jaina, gathering around her until it finally solidified into a water figure. Yes, a person made of water appeared beside her. The Sword Saint was already enraged to the extreme, ignoring Rodin at her feet, and swiftly rushed toward Jaina. She stopped about ten meters in front of her and punched the ground with a powerful blow. The earth shook violently, and a dragon of earth rose from the ground, carrying immense energy as it charged toward Jaina. Giana closed her eyes and focused on manipulating the water element. With her current abilities, she couldn't multitask. She had to bet all her magic on this water man who had condensed all her magic power. The summoned water sprite made a strange gesture, and a clear spring gushed from his body, forming a water dragon in the air. With a force like a mountain collapsing and an ocean surging, it roared as it charged toward the earth dragon struck by the Sword Saint. The two dragons, formed from converging energy, seemed to come alive, roaring as they both sought to tear their opponent apart. Contacted, the earth dragon plunged into the water dragon, which seemed like an ocean, mercilessly devouring the energy from the earth dragon, leaving behind nothing but a pile of lifeless soil, without the intense collision imagined. The momentum of the water dragon did not wane, and it quickly charged towards the Sword Saint. The Sword Saint shielded his head with both hands, as if preparing to defend against the powerful shockwave. However, everything before him was beyond his comprehension. More terrifyingly, he failed to notice that his own powerful shockwave had been swallowed by the water dragon. Wrong? Why was there no sound at all? When the Sword Saint opened his eyes, the water dragon was already right in front of him. The water dragon, like a giant worm, swiftly coiled around the Sword Saint's body. No matter how much he struggled, it was futile; it seemed as if he were in an endless sea, where all his strength could not stir up even a ripple. A bone-chilling cold quickly seeped into the Sword Saint's body. He could feel his own flesh beginning to freeze, and the moisture from his breath instantly froze in his nostrils. Breathing became increasingly difficult. Blast! Jaina roared, and the water dragon exploded instantly. Rain poured down from the sky, enveloping the Sword Saint. More terrifyingly, the rain that fell around the Sword Saint continuously froze. In just a moment, the Sword Saint was frozen into a massive ice block, its crystal-like form reflecting the cold moonlight. The air around them had already dropped to the freezing point. Dissolved the water beings, two massive fireballs in Jaina's hands began to coalesce, the Sword Saint's consciousness started to blur, absolute zero, putting the body functions of the Sword Saint into hibernation, energy began to dissipate, unable to coalesce again. The two fireballs in Jaina's hands, carrying scorching heat, crashed onto the frozen Sword Saint. This enormous temperature difference caused the ice surrounding the Sword Saint to melt even before it could, starting to crack like glass, then, as if struck by impact, instantly shattered. The Sword Saint's body, along with countless small ice crystals, turned into ice blocks formed from blood water, under the cold moonlight, they resembled red rubies, incredibly beautiful. Among these rubies, a piece of white jade shimmered with a pure white luster, standing out uniquely. Indeed, it was this stone that caused rivers of blood and countless casualties. Jaina bent down and slowly picked up the pristine white stone. She had no idea what kind of stone it was; among the many mineral varieties on Li Mars, there was none like this. Out of curiosity, she gathered her last bit of magical energy and slowly poured it into the stone through her fingers. The jade seemed to resonate strongly with the magical energy, quickly absorbing that last bit of power. Jaina found it intriguing—how could such a stone exist in this world? How could it resonate with energy from another world? Since it can resonate with magical power, it must contain magical energy itself. Jaina treated it like a magic gem, placing it in her palm and trying to draw mana from it. No reaction? Could it be that the mana she had just gathered wasn't strong enough? This time, Jaina gathered all her mana, concentrating it in her hand, and began to strike the jade. Instantly, the jade glowed brightly. The familiar energy appeared. It was magical power. Jaina greedily absorbed the magical power emanating from the jade. As more and more magic power poured into her body, Jaina's face began to flush. The wounds on her body, large and small, healed quickly. The light on Jade grew dimmer and dimmer. Feeling that she was no longer in any serious danger, she hurriedly took Jade to Rodin's side. After Rodin absorbed the rest of the magic, the light on the jade dissipated and turned into a white stone with no luster. Rodin also woke up. "What's going on?" Rodin looked at Jaina curiously. He didn't understand how he had woken up so quickly. He had felt a powerful magical wave around him just now, and now he felt a lot of magic in his body. "I'm also very puzzled." Jaina was equally confused, extending the jade to Rodin. "It's all about this stone. After I killed that big guy just now, I picked it up when I saw it on the ground. To my surprise, this stone contains a powerful magical force, even more incredible than the magic stones we create. If not for the magical power inside this stone, I think we would have died here today." Rodin took the stone. The moment he touched it, his body felt as if it had been electrified, and strange scenes kept appearing before his eyes. Many humans dressed in ancient clothing were gathered on an open square, seemingly praying for something. In the center stood a sacrificial altar, where a massive stone table held the very stone in Rodin's hand. As tens of thousands of people bowed in reverence below, the stone glowed intensely, and a dark portal suddenly appeared on the altar. It was familiar. Yes, it was a star gate! Then, a large number of demons surged out from the star gate, slaughtering the humans indiscriminately. Blood flowed like rivers, and corpses littered the ground. Tens of thousands of people below were completely wiped out. The scene then began to change. Before him was an ancient human army, with warhorses, and Rodin could even hear the deafening sound of battle drums. Another army, the demon army, appeared. This time, Rodin could clearly see them—it was the Demon Wings! The Demon Legion guarded the altar, and the star gate remained open, with more demons continuously emerging from it to support the falling Demon Wings. But these human armies? They were from Earth! Judging by their uniforms, they seemed to be medieval European troops. Rodin wanted to continue watching, but the jade was constantly absorbing his magical power, forcing him to stop. "Odd!" Rodin said to Jaina. "Odd? Isn't this a stone that has a strong resonance with magic? It's really odd." Jaina misunderstood Rodin's meaning. "fault!" "What's not?" "What I mean by strange is not that it resonates strangely with magic. I just infused this stone with magical power. I saw so many terrifying scenes! The Star Gate, the Wings of Demons, and the armies of ancient humans! I wanted to keep going, but it kept draining my mana, so I had to stop." "Bluff!" Jaina thought Rodin was teasing her. She had just poured magic into the stone, but she saw nothing! "I'm too lazy to talk to you. If you believe me or not, let's just leave here first. If there are more supermen, it will be hard for us to leave!" Superman, Rodin was very fond of the American man in the movie who wore his red underwear outside. "Humph!" Jaina stomped her feet in anger, tears even rolling in her eyes. She didn't even know why she cared so much about Rodin's attitude towards her. A single "I'm too lazy to talk to you" made her so sad! "Sorry, I'm sorry to pull you, but I won't be mean to you... Go on!" Rodin saw that Jaina was getting angry, so he took her hand and apologized straight away. He didn't want her to be angry. It was worse than anything else when a woman was angry. "Humph! Let go of your stinking hand! Why do you want to hold my hand when you're already angry with me? Don't you think it's disgusting? You always say you're not angry with me, but you never keep your word. You stinking man!" …… It's strange why ordinary humans are so weak, yet these people today possess such terrifying power! Rodin has been pondering everything that happened today. It's too frightening! A human society that seemed to pose no threat suddenly saw so many powerful humans emerge. He should change his view of the world. And that stone, why is it connected to the Wings of Evil? If the Wings of Evil were introduced to Earth, it would be too terrifying!
