Chapter 7: Senior Chen Jing

The next day, the news report sent a shock through Chen Xiaofeng and her husband. It said that last night, due to an earthquake, Train K195, which was traveling from Jianou City to Xiamen City, had a severe accident with no survivors! This was the very train that Luo Ding and Gianna were on. How could they not be worried? It wasn't until Luo Ding and Gianna called to report their safety that the couple's hearts finally settled.

Just as he was about to go out, Rodin called Chen Jing! "Sister Jing, thank you for taking care of me. It's not early now, and you haven't had dinner yet. Why don't we have dinner together?"

Chen Jing didn't mind her rudeness; although Jaina was very impolite, Chen Jing didn't take it to heart. However, she misunderstood, for from the way Jaina looked at her, she knew that Jaina was more like Rodin's lover than his sister!

"Hehe, by the way, Sister Jing, we are not familiar with this place, so you have to lead the way. Let's find a better restaurant to eat in. My stomach is beating."

Chen Jing is very considerate. From the way Rodin and Jaina dressed, she knew they weren't from wealthy families and wisely chose a restaurant that matched the budget of ordinary students. The restaurant was quite good, with delicious food, but throughout the dinner, there wasn't much conversation among the three of them, making the atmosphere somewhat awkward. Since Chen Jing was familiar with the area, they quickly found a room near the school. The room wasn't large, just a single room with one TV, a table, a sofa, a bed, and a small bathroom. It was like a sparrow, though small, it had all the essentials.

"Rodin, are you sure your sister lives here alone? Look at the boys who rent upstairs and downstairs!"

Luo Ding laughed heartily, "Ha ha, who would dare to mess with this woman? That's just asking for trouble." "Well, we're in a legal society now. Besides, most of the people living here are from our school; the college students should have decent qualities, so there shouldn 't be any problems." "It's getting late, sister. Go to bed early. I'm going back to school with Jing. I'll help you find a job tomorrow." Luo Ding left, grabbing Chen Jing's hand and walking away. He was deliberately trying to upset Jiana. Chen Jing didn't resist; instead, she cooperated well, even feeling a bit happy inside. It seemed things weren't as he had imagined.
