As we hurried down the hallway, my heart pounded in my chest. I couldn’t shake the image of Damon—wild, angry, and desperate. I had known he was obsessed, but I never thought it would come to this.
Nikolai held my hand tightly, his thumb brushing soothing circles on my skin. Aidan walked on my other side, his jaw clenched and eyes focused ahead. I could feel the tension radiating from both of them.
“That was... unexpected,” I whispered, trying to process what had just happened.
