Joy arrives at the Richardsons house and they showed her the room she will be sleeping and told her to freshen up and feel comfortable

Almost an hour later, Joy came out of the room and Gloria invites her to eat dinner with them

While eating dinner, Jason realized that Joy was eating less so he asked her what was wrong and Joy said nothing

After having a silent dinner, Joy returns to her room.

Later in the night, Gloria came out and heard Joy crying. She came to her room and asked if something was wrong and Joy said nothing

I know you might be scared but don't be we won't do anything bad to you

As Gloria walks out, Joy says: thank you ma'am

Gloria comes to her room and finds William sitting on the couch

William: where were you dear?

Gloria: I was with Joy. I heard her crying so I went to see her

William: we need to talk to her, there is something wrong with her. what if she didn't agree to the marriage? what if she was forced?

Gloria: that could be what is going on with her. we must find out.

the next day, after breakfast, Gloria and William sat Joy down and questioned

William: Joycelyn were you forced to accept this marriage?

Gloria noticed Joy shaking so she walked up to her and said, dear don't be scared answer us.

Joy: no

William: you can tell us what is wrong. why are you always sad?

Jason: Joy you can trust us

Joy: Nothing

in Joy's thought, she's thinking that if she is sent back to her father's house, her father will throw her out of the house and she won't have anywhere to go.

William: alright, we are leaving for our city in three days. so please for the next two days, if you have any to talk about, please come to us

Joy: alright sir

William wrote a letter to the Emperor informing them about their arrival.

Gloria took Joy for shopping and the saloon for a makeover. she looked more beautiful than expected. she also helped Joy pack her things.
