A letter of invitation

Emperor Michael sends a message to Sir William and Lady Gloria to meet him

A guard arrives and announces: Your Majesty, your Uncle and Aunt are here to meet you

Emperor Michael: please send them in

Guard: yes Your majesty

Sir William and Lady Gloria enters and greet the Emperor. Michael offers them a seat

Emperor Michael: Uncle, please how is the preparation going?

Sir William: it's going fine

Emperor Michael: I want you to send a letter of invitation to Joycelyn's family but don't mention in it that I am marrying Joycelyn. in the letter, just state that they are invited to a royal wedding.

Lady Gloria: Your Majesty, please why? and are you sure that they will come?

Emperor Michael: Yes, knowing the type of people they are, they will come

Sir William: have you spoken to Lady Joycelyn? is she alright with this?

Emperor Michael: yes I have and don't worry I will handle everything just send the letter.

one more thing please arrange for Joycelyn to start School in the royal college

Sir William and Lady Gloria: yes Your Majesty.

After they left, the Emperor went to meet Joycelyn

one of Joycelyn's maid comes and announces the Emperor's arrival

Emperor Michael is greeted by Joycelyn and her maids and the Emperor asks them to give them a private moment. The maids leave the room

The Emperor kisses Joycelyn on her forehead and ask how she is

Joycelyn replies: I'm good your majesty. please how are you?

Emperor Michael laughs: I'm good too. I don't remember someone asking how I am, only my parents and few people ask.

Joycelyn, I am here to inform you that you will start School soon at the Royal college so that you can complete your education

Joycelyn screams out of joy and says: your majesty really?

Emperor Michael laughs: Yes, I have told my uncle and aunt to make preparation for you to go to school and there is a letter being sent to your family for the wedding. Michael looks at Joycelyn's face to see her reaction. Joycelyn's face turns pale

Emperor Michael: don't worry my dear your name is not mentioned on the invitation letter and they won't know

Joycelyn, let's go for a walk

Emperor Michael and Joycelyn went out for a walk and talked for a while. The got to realize that they had a lot in common. Emperor Michael made Joycelyn laugh a lot.

After Joy left, the Blanksons became very rich from the dowry and Liliana was now considered one of the most popular woman in their city but after a while Nicholas made a wrong business deal and lost almost everything and things are now becoming worse

Liliana is sitting in the living room

someone knocks on the door

one of her daughters goes to open the door.

Mum, a letter is here for you: her daughter says. She gives the letter to her mother.

Liliana opens the letter and she screams

Oh my goodness

Nicholas comes out from his bedroom and asks: Liliana are you alright, why are you shouting?

Liliana says happily: we have been invited to a wedding in the palace.

Nicholas looking surprise and asks: what?

Liliana says: look. she shows Nicholas the letter

Nicholas says happily: how is this possible? we are invited to the palace for a wedding. I don't understand

Liliana says happily: I don't care. all I know is that I will be meeting the royals soon. let's start preparing to leave the are expecting us in a month. I am so happy. Nick dear I hope you can take this as an advantage a bring us from bankruptcy.

Nicholas asks: how is this going to help me bring us back from bankruptcy

Liliana says sarcastically: use your brain. I was the one who helped for us to get money from the Richardsons so now it's your turn to get money to bring us back to our old life. After saying this Liliana leaves from there and the girls followed her

Joycelyn start schooling few days later and the wedding preparations were also in process

Joycelyn and The Emperor became closer to each other. They became close friends and the Emperor spends most of his free time teaching Joycelyn and most times helping her with assignment

Joycelyn was introduced to the citizens of the kingdom as the Emperor's wife to be. Joycelyn also grew closer to the royal family members including those who didn't accept her in the beginning. Joycelyn was now very acquainted with the entire family. The Emperor's father and brother trained Joycelyn how to use the sword and how to ride a horse. The Emperor's parents treat Joycelyn as their own daughter.

Liliana and her family arrived at the palace and his received by one of the chief of staff and they are sent to a house near the palace to live there.

Three days after the arrival of the Blanksons, the engagement of the Emperor and Joycelyn was set to take place in the evening.

The Blanksons are welcomed to the palace and sent to the event venue with other guests soon the royal family members start arriving.

Meanwhile as guests are arriving, the Empress Dowager arrives in Joycelyn's room. Joycelyn stands up to greet the Empress Dowager

Joycelyn: good evening your majesty

Empress Dowager pretends to be angry and scolds Joycelyn: Joycelyn, how many times do you want me to tell you to call me grandmother?

Joycelyn smiles: I'm sorry grandmother

Empress Dowager: I am here to give you something. She shows Joycelyn a diamond tiara. This was what I wore during my engagement and I have kept it safe waiting to give it to Michael's wife to be.

Joycelyn covers her mouth with her hands in shock: Grandmother this is too much

Empress Dowager: it's not too much for you my dear now sit down and let me help you get dress.

After almost an hour, Joycelyn was ready

Empress Dowager: you look beautiful, you look just like an Empress

Joycelyn: Thank you grandmother, I am really grateful
