The guests and the Royal family members start arriving at the venue and soon the place was filled.
The close family members of the emperor also arrived and that was when the Blanksons spotted Richardsons. Liliana tried to get noticed but her effort was fruitless.
Liliana: what are the Richardsons doing here?
Nicholas: probably they are invited like us
Liliana: that could be it
Announcer of the palace: All rise for the arrival of the Emperor's parents, Their Excellencies Sir Stephen and Lady Melissa. Everyone at the venue bow their heads to greet them. Sir Stephen was joined at his sitting position by his brothers Sir William and Sir George. This didn't go without Liliana's notice
Liliana: Nick, look over there. Liliana points at the place where Sir William is sitting. Mr. Richardson is seated with the Emperor's father
Nicholas: Yes, you are right how is this possible? who is he to the Emperor's father and where is Joy?
one of the royal maid serving the guests drinks passed by and she was called by Liliana
Maid: can I help you madam?
Liliana: please tell me who this man is. Liliana pointed at Sir William.
maid: please madam, he is the Emperor's first uncle. He is the younger brother of the Emperor's father. His name is His Excellency Sir William
Liliana, Nicholas and their daughters screams in shock making everybody sitting closer to their table turn.
Maid asks: madam please is that all?
Liliana overcomes the shock and asks the maid again
Liliana: please is his son married?
Maid: you mean His royal highness grand Prince Jason and Liliana nods
maid: no he is not married but he will after the Emperor's marriage. after that she leaves
The announcer announces again: attention everyone please stand for the arrival of their royal highnesses Grand Prince Jason and Grand Prince Augustine. Everyone bows to them.
Liliana: oh my goodness, what is going on?
Nicholas: oh God what is happening? where is Joy. What if something is wrong? we should find a way to know about Joy
Liliana: don't worry, probably she is one of the palace maids. nothing bad has happened to her.
Nicholas: Lily, are you listening to yourself? how can someone part of the royal family go out to search for a maid. there is more to this
as Liliana was about to talk, the announcer announces again
All rise for the arrival of Her Majesty the Empress Dowager, Her Royal Highness Princess Arabella and Her Excellency lady Joycelyn and that is the moment the Blanksons spotted Joy and Liliana almost fainted.
Joycelyn was wearing a blue gown which shows her curves and features. she was a wearing nude make up which shows her natural beautiful face and she was wearing the tiara given to her by the Empress Dowager
Liliana: oh my goodness, what is Joy doing here with a tiara on her head. what is going on?
Joycelyn was seated next to the Emperor's mother and Lady Gloria
Liliana: what the heck is that girl doing here?
Lucia one of Liliana's daughter: mum why is that girl here and why is she being called Lady and she is even sitting with the royal family.
Lisa the other daughter: mum what is going on here? she even has a tiara on her head
Liliana shout at them: will you shut up. I don't even know what is going on here.
Nicholas gets up and says I have to know what is going on. as he was about to leave, it was announced that the Emperor will be arriving soon so everyone should take their seats
The Blanksons were whispering to themselves in confusion.
Joycelyn searched through the guests and spotted her family and then she realized that she has been spotted by them and they were signing her with their hands so she ignored them
Few minutes later,
The announcer announces: All rise for the arrival of Emperor Michael. The Emperor enters and his greeted by everyone. He then paid respect to the Empress Dowager and took his seat
The Emperor spotted Joycelyn and they smiled at each other.
A prayer was said by the royal Reverend minister to begin the program
The Emperor whispered something to his brother Prince Augustine
Prince Augustine: please Mr Nicholas Blankson and his family please kindly move from where you are sitting to here.(Prince Augustine pointed at the empty seats in the royal family)
in a shocking state, Nicholas and his family joined the royal family. After taking their seats, the ceremony was allowed to continue
Sir George got up from his seat and bowed his head in respect to the Emperor and walked to the center of the place
Sir George: today, we are here to witness the Engagement ceremony between the Emperor and Lady Joycelyn. This revelation makes the Blanksons shock
Lucia whispers: how is this possible?
Sir George continues: Your Majesty please with your permission, can we get the Engagement done?
Empress Dowager replies happily: yes please go ahead and everyone cheers with claps and laughs.
Sir George: Please before we continue, let me introduce to you the Blanksons. they are the family of lady Joycelyn, the Emperor's wife to be.
in a shocking state, the Blanksons stand up to be introduced and everyone claps
The Emperor and Lady Joycelyn are called to the center.
Emperor Michael walks to Joycelyn and takes her hand and they walk to the center smiling
The Reverend minister prays over the ring and gives it to the Emperor
The Emperor takes Joycelyn's left hand and puts the ring on it and everyone claps happily. Joycelyn start crying out of joy and Michael hugs her and kisses her on the forehead
Michael wipes Joycelyn's tears and brings her to sit with him.
Everyone danced happily except for the Blanksons who were still in shock
Emperor Michael and Joycelyn had their first dance. as they were dancing,
Emperor Michael asks: how are you doing? I mean seeing your family after everything
Joycelyn replies: your majesty, at first I felt awkward but I am alright now
Emperor Michael: I promise I will protect you. Don't worry. They won't do anything to you
Joycelyn smiles: thank you for everything your majesty. Michael smiles and they continue to dance.
An announcement was made that
the wedding of Emperor Michael and Joycelyn was to be held in three weeks
at almost midnight, the event ended.
As Joycelyn was sent back to her room, the Blanksons tried to talk to her but was stopped by the guards
Nicholas shouts: why are you stopping us. she is my daughter
Guard: the Emperor says nobody is allowed to speak to his wife to be without his permission.
Liliana shouts: what?
Joycelyn sees her family struggling with the guards but says nothing and goes from there
The Blanksons had no other choice but to return to the place they are staying
