Who Are You?

“Who is she, Mother and what is she doing here?” he curiously asked his mother while she is helping him to sit in his bed.   All of the people in the room became silent and you can clearly see that they are all shocked on what he asked me.   “Hey brother, don’t joke us around. That’s not good to hear. Are you that hurt that you even asked us who she is?” his brother Sanyo awkwardly laugh at him but he immediately stop upon noticing the seriousness in his brother’s face.   I can’t even moved my whole body like I am rooted in the place where I am standing. Until now my hands are terribly shaking that I simply hide in the pocket of my coat. I manage to take a deep breath and look at him.   “Why did you asked that to them? Why don’t you directly asked me who am I. You can’t remember what is my role on your life?” while I look at him directly in the eye. I watched him as he harshly messed his hair and let her mother gently wiped her face with a damp towel.   He remained silent and didn’t utter even a single word. All he ever do is stare at the wall behind me.   “Uhm… Let’s just let him rest for awhile. He just woke up from a long nap, he need to get energy in order for him to recover faster.” his father said who is sitting at the sofa near his bed and he also was shocked and worried about the condition of his son.   “And Dara” I directly divert my attention to his father and gently looked at me with pity in his eyes. “You are on duty right? Focus first on your works for this day, and will be the one to asked the doctor why he is acting like this. Maybe he is just stress or tired from the ambiance of the hospital. His mind maybe isn’t functioning well because of that. So just let us be incharge about this.” he give me his warm smile that makes my heart soften also I don’t have the energy to argue about it and I just nod my head.   I slowly walk towards to his mother who still pampering the silent Gratz. “I’ll go now Auntie. Just call me if you need anything.” as I get her palm and place the back of it in my forehead as a sign of respect.   After that as I turned my back to her, she pulled me into a tight hug that literally melt my heart. “I just want to apologized on what my son said Dara, have a little patience to him. Okay?” she whispered. I just nod my head to her while I look at Gratz in which you can clearly see how confuse he is on the way his mother treating me. I immediately distance myself to his mother.   I also bid my goodbye to his brother and show my respect to Uncle like how I show my respect to Auntie awhile back and I can clearly see his pity towards me.   As I stepped out of the room, I can feel that the corner of my eyes is getting swelled up because of my tears but I can’t let my self down today. I have a patients waiting for me at my clinic.
