Chapter 5

1590 Words
After about 5 minutes of running Alexis runs into a brick wall that, most likely, is the fence surrounding the property. She stops, almost out of breath, looking around for a gate close by or a tree that she can climb to get over the 7 maybe 8 foot wall. This is when being 5'1" really becomes a problem. she locates a tree near by that is only about three feet away from the wall making the branches loom over to the other side. Now the only problem is that the lowest branch on that tree isn't quite low enough for her to get a good grip on. She starts looking around for a rock that she can stand on. About 20 feet away under a pine tree she spots a rock almost 12 inches tall. Making her way over she notices that not only is it tall but it is also fairly wide and she questions whether or not she is going to be able to lift the, probably, 50 pound rock and carry it 20 feet to the tree. Looking around again and seeing no one her heart is still racing, scared that at any moment someone will come and find her. She takes a deep breath and lifts the rock only able to bring it up about 5 inches off the ground she starts to waddle over to the tree. Her hands and shoulders start hurting due to the pressure and weight but she grunts through the pain knowing that she cannot stop if she wants to escape.     Finally making it to the tree she drops the rock and massages her hands and arms that are now sore. She looks up at the branch before climbing onto the rock and gripping onto it. Using her legs to walk up the trunk of the tree, she wraps her legs around the branch before shimmying across and over the wall. Once across she drops and surveys her surroundings still not knowing where she is but at least there is a road about 50 feet away. Going up to the road she picks a direction and starts running. Being late at night, she has yet to see any cars. After about 15 minutes she starts seeing more lights up ahead and cars driving around. Assuming she is coming up to an area with businesses rather than just the neighborhoods she has been running through, she starts quickening her pace in hopes that she can figure out where she is.      She starts to slow down eventually coming to a stop, a smile coming across her face. She knows exactly where she is. Luckily they did not take her far at all, only to the suburbs of the city she lives in. She knows this because the little shopping mart she grocery shops at is right in front of her. She starts to walk now heading straight to her house, hoping that her parents are asleep by now. Walking up to her house it is dark and she quietly uses her key to get inside. She heads strait to the bathroom and hops in the shower to get off all the sweat and dirt that has accumulated. Going up stairs she sighs, they know where she lives and she knows she can't stay for long. Her dreams of graduation slowly slipping away.  -----     The next morning she packs her bag filling it with more than just books. Taking food and the money she kept hidden under a floorboard in her room, amounting up to about $1000. Not much but that's all she could save without her parents noticing. Because she couldn't work she would take money after her weekly grocery shopping trips, telling her parents groceries were $50 and pocketing $10 every time. After school today she is planning on getting a cheap motel until she graduates in less than a month.      On her way to school she makes sure to cut through the houses and woods because they know where she attends school and she's sure they have found out by now that she is missing. Luckily she was wary because there they were, the same men that took her, standing right outside the front gate. She decides to hide behind a tree and wait until they leave knowing that they will leave a little after the school bell rang assuming she is not going there. Once they are gone she heads inside to her classroom slowly opening the door in the back of the room trying not to make a spectacle of her late arrival.     "Miss Miller?" Mr. Waldorf questions.     Alexis looks up to look at him who seems confused. The corners of her lips are brought up giving an apologetic look towards the teacher, "I know I'm late Mr. Waldorf and I'm also sorry about missing school yesterday it won't happen again." She looks down sheepishly and starts walking towards the open desk.     "No Miss Miller what are you doing here?" She stops and looks at him with confusion going across her face. "We were all told that you are no longer enrolled here." Her heart immediately drops. She starts looking around about to have a panic attack, her breathing rapidly increases. They knew her father would never pay and they already started cutting all her ties. So much for getting her diploma. After a few moments he speaks again, "You are already graduated." At that, she looks directly at the teacher again with wide eyes. "Did they not tell you yet?" She slowly moves her head back and forth. "Your family said you were moving and they wanted to see if they could have you graduate early rather than having to attend the school in your new neighborhood with only less than a month left until graduation. All of your attendance and grades were looked at and they were high enough in order to graduate you early." He pauses for a moment. "So?"     "Um, yeah...okay." She looks around at everyone seeing Tiffany glaring at her. "Alright then I guess I will go home then and finish packing?" She says almost as a question since she's not actually packing. No one says anything so she slowly makes her way out the door. Once it is closed she leans on the wall trying to take everything in. A new plan is needed. Thinking about how she ran away from what she can only assume is the mob she knows she can't stay in town and this new news about being graduated just put a pep in her step. She starts grinning, "Great!" Now she can leave and start over like she always planned. Getting a cheap motel in another city and a job to save up for her first apartment!     The door then opens causing her to look over. She sees Tiffany coming out of the classroom. Tiffany looks around until her eyes meet with Alexis'. "So," Tiffany starts walking towards Alexis, "You think you can just graduate early and leave huh? We haven't been able to finish teaching you your lesson yet." Alexis backs up and turns around to run when she bumps into someone.     "Sorry!" She looks up and pales. It's Trevor.     "Good timing." Alexis looks back at Tiffany. "I texted him when I found out you graduated early. He left class in order to congratulate you, you should be happy." She says with an evil grin. Alexis turns back to look at Trevor who is now smirking and Alexis opens her mouth.     Trevor puts one hand behind her neck and the other covering her mouth. "We wouldn't want a teacher to come and find us skipping now would we?" He leans in and licks the side of her face. Tears pooling in her eyes. She starts struggling trying to get out of his hold when Tiffany speaks up.     "In here!" She has a door open that enters into one of the janitors closets. Trevor shuffles her inside and Tiffany locks the door behind them.     "Find some tape." Trevor says. Tiffany starts rummaging through the shelves picking up a cloth and duck tape. Trevor takes the cloth removing his hand only to shove the cloth into Alexis' mouth, tears now streaming down her face. Taking the tape now, he wraps it around her head covering her mouth to hold in the cloth. He starts to lift her shirt and she starts fighting harder, thrashing and scratching at his arms. "b***h!" He slaps her in the face. "Tiffany hold her arms." Tiffany goes behind Alexis pulling her arms behind her back."Fine if you don't want your top taken off I don't have to do that, I just need your pants off anyway." He sneers at Alexis and starts pulling down the yoga pants she had on. Unfortunately that was easy for him to rip away from her body and now she is sitting on the floor tears streaming down her face with muffled cries that sound like whimpers. Tiffany followed her to the floor keeping a strong hold on her arms.      "Since you weren't being very nice to me I'm not going to be very nice to you either. You're a virgin right?" An evil grin spreads across Tiffany's face as Trevor gets up and looks around. He grabs hold of a bottle and kneels down in front of Alexis. "I was going to be nice and let you have me be the one to take your virginity but instead I think this bottle will do." His grin widens.
