It was Catherine but not Catherine. Something was sufficiently changed to make her look like another woman. She might have been a flirtatious and pretty sister, but Catherine’s sisters were neither. This was Catherine, to be sure. She was wearing a dress of pale gold silk with embroidery upon the hem, and Rhys realized with a start that it was the same one she had worn for their wedding.
