Chapter 30I had just put away my computer when Cindy returned from the spa wearing only a robe. Her hair and makeup were done; she was radiant. I have never seen a more beautiful woman.
I stood. Raising a hand, she said, “You’ll have to wait. I’m not letting you mess me up. I want to make your ex-wives jealous, and the men envious of you.”
I walked over to her slowly with both palms up in a surrendering gesture. I put both arms around her and gave her a slight hug, being careful not to mess up anything, and whispered in her ear, “I love you more than life.”
I stepped back and had a silly but content smile.
“What, Warren? Tell me what’s so funny?”
“Not funny, it’s just that most women wouldn’t be as honest as you, with what you just said.”
