Chapter 5The next morning, I woke up late. It was almost 9:00 o’clock. I lay there enjoying the morning light, and the stillness in the room. We had a thunderstorm late the night before and the slight breeze coming through the opened French doors was cool. The air smelled fresh with a hint of ozone from the lightning. Cindy’s back was to me and I felt her stir. I rolled over and pulled her close to me. I was not the only thing awake. I could feel her chuckle, when she said, “Well hello, and good morning to you.” I started kissing her ever so lightly on the back of her neck and holding her tightly, taking in her scent. I was in total heaven.
