Tristan Lombardi's Point of View
Ariana Floyd is my mate.
But I kissed Chloe, and I told her I liked her as well.
What is this mess I've gotten myself into?
My wolf starts to fight me. Forcing me to run after Ariana. But I didn't. I have to figure out what I must do. How did a human become my mate? It didn't make sense. I was sure Chloe was human. The scent of humans is all over her. And since Ariana and Chloe are sisters, Ariana must be human too right?
I wasn't focusing enough to see if Ariana smelled like a human too. But it wouldn't make sense. Chloe told me that Ariana was her little sister. And before their mother died, they were really close.
I send a mind read to one of the boys.
Get me out of here
My phone starts to ring. I look at the screen to see that Jake was calling.
"Tristan, my grandmother fell down the stairs and she's bleeding from her head." Jake says, pretending to cry.
Jake never fails to be so dramatic.
"Chloe, I apologize but I'm afraid I have to go. My friend's grandmother fell down the stairs." I tell her once I put down the phone. She frowns and sadly nods her head.
"I'll call you." I tell her before running to my car.
As the King of the supernatural world, when I go on my trips to this realm, Jake, Jean, and Joonie refuse to let me go alone. So, they're always by my side.
I get into my car and drive to my house where Jake, Jean, and Joonie stay in.
"I have news," I say as soon as I see the 3 of them sitting on the sofa splurging on the ice cream I bought last night.
"Bad date? I thought you liked her." Jean says teasingly.
I throw a pillow at him.
"I found her. I found my mate." The three of them immediately sits upright.
"Is she pretty? Is she nice? How is she like?" They start throwing questions at me.
"I don't know. Remember Chloe? My wolf claimed her sister. Her name is Ariana." I tell them.
"But Chloe's human... That means Ariana is too right?" Joonie asks.
"That's what I'm confused with. No wolf has ever had a mate as a human. It just isn't possible." I say.
"Then maybe she isn't." Jean states
"I remember Chloe telling me that they grew up together. Chloe's a year older so if Ariana were adopted, she would've known and mentioned it." I say.
And then it finally clicked.
"Chloe told me Ariana killed their mother." I say.
"Did Chloe say she turned into a wolf?" Jean asks, scared.
Humans can never find out about the supernatural.
The supernatural can come to this realm as long as they don't cause any trouble or make humans find out about us.
If they do, they die. That's just the law my family has put for centuries.
"Chloe didn't tell me how their mother died. I have to find out." I tell them.
"While I'm gone, dig deeper into the Floyd family" I say to them. They nod and start looking for the whole background of the Floyds.
I get into my car and make my way to Chloe's house. I wasn't there for her though. I was there for Ariana.
I needed to tell her. My wolf ached to tell her.
I just hoped that she would hear me out.

Ariana Floyd's Point Of View
The metallic smell of metal starts to linger on my fingers. It's been 3 hours since I started my training. I wasn't tired yet though. After some boxing and shooting practice, I found myself on the floor trying to catch my breath.
Father paid a lot of money to build this institution. It was a high tech institution that had AI programs that made you look like you were fighting with real people.
Since this was a secret thing, it was hidden behind a secret door in Father's company.
The floor was divided into 3 sectors.
The sparing sector. Wherein you can program the AI to show different opponents with different skills. It seemed and felt real once you start.
The shooting range. There were all kinds of guns and knives placed on the wall. Shooting targets were placed on the far end of the floor and they move if you want them to.
The archery sector. This sector was specially made for me. My father wanted me to be distinct with my weapon. Therefore I was the only one allowed in this floor. This floor was the biggest because all 2 sectors were also found on this floor.
I was meant to always train alone.
The archery sector was quite cool actually. It was AI programmed to look like I was actually fighting someone.
All my weapons specially made. The grip of my bow was a deep red which matches the feathers on my arrows. My guns had a red trigger, and my knife's base had a red skin as well.
I had 3 special arrows. A regular one, A poisoned one, and an arrow that has a bomb that will go off once it was shot.
I practice my archery, with the program that my Father specially programmed for me. It was an understatement to say that it was difficult.
But again, I've been doing this for 10 years. I already knew what my Father needed from me.
Hours and Hours of training passed by and the clock reached 5pm.
I took out my hand wraps and placed all my weapons in their rightful places.
I wiped my sweat off and changed into a tank top. I make my way towards my Fathers office since he asked for me.
"Father, you asked for me?" I say once I reached his office.
He looks up from his desk and takes his glasses out.
"How's Chloe doing? Is she doing alright? I heard she has a new boyfriend." he states.
"Yes, they were at home this morning." I respond.
"Good. Don't ruin anything for Chloe, Ariana. You know what will happen if you do." He says warningly. He dismisses me with a flick of his hand.
I turn away and make my way to my car.
I knew my father hated me and I knew exactly why. I was a bastard. My mother had an affair and I was the outcome. My father didn't know until she died.
My real father? I don't know where he is. He probably doesn't know I exist.
There was always this feeling inside of me. It was as if I had a second identity. It was like something was trying to get out of a cage.
I got out of my car and found myself staring at Tristan.
Mine a voice within me says.
What the hell was that?
