Unfulfilled Promise

Finally I am home, Danisha said.It was a very anonymous bright Sunday morning when it all started. Danish was a cute baby born within a young couple of a light skinned medium sized gentleman, he had spaced white teeth and when ever he smiled, all women would pray that they own such a man. He was a very jokky man but a kind hearted one, every one knew this gentleman in kirungi village since he was a very friendly kind. Danisha's mother was a very attractive woman , she had big and bright eyes that every man wished to have her as a wife. she was a median size with a very tiny waist but with big hips as she descended downwards. She had very hard palms that whoever man held her arm, guessed her as a very hard working woman. The beautiful couple welcomed a baby at a very young age of 18 years and 13 years. The two were best friends at school that they ended up having s*x ignorantly as Jane went to Stephen's home to assist her with her homework. In two month's time, Jane started vomiting. she was very scared that she told her mother that she had missed her periods for two months now. Her mother immediately took her to the hospital for pregnancy test. To her surprise, Jane was two months pregnant!!! When they went back home, Jenny's mother started hitting her hard while asking her who the father of the baby was. As Jane was genuinely still thinking on how she got pregnant, she remembered the night she had gone to be assisted with her homework at Stephanie's place. As they were doing the homework, Stephan started tickling her continuously. Jane asked Stephen what they were doing and he ensured her that they were only playing. Jane only felt a sharp pain under her legs only to miss her periods concercetively for two months. By the time her pregnancy made six months, she was staying with Stephen who dropped off from school to takecare of his wife Jane. It was 22nd of. May that Danisha was brought to earth in Mubende refferal hospital Uganda 🇺🇬. The baby grew up in a family full of love from both parents. When she made three years old, she was taken to school. She started schooling from St Agnes Primary School that was located near their home. she was a very intelligent and bright student who impressed her parents parents that whenever she was the first in class, she was bought a nice dress. As Danisha studied from baby class to primary three class, her parents started getting misunderstandings. This affected her studies very much, she started spending most of her time at her grandmother's place from her mother's side. Whenever she headed to school, she always found her father on the way eagerly waiting for her. He took her daughter to a fancy hotel to have lunch and bought her many things to take home. When she reached home, her mother would throw away the eats saying that her daughter could not eat things bought by a stupid father like Stephen, I can work out to provide to you my beloved daughter whatever you want she concluded , looking compationately in Danisha's eyes. As time went by, the two parents divorced. This affected the child's performance even more when she reached Primary three, she was picked away from school by her father who took her directly to the Village where her uncle's were located. It was two kilometers from the town where Danisha lived with her mom. Jane started looking for her daughter every place and every corner. When she found notice of her daughter disappearence, she decided to report the case to the police station where she filed a report of a Lost Child who has been kidnapped by her biological father she concluded . When Stephanie was called to the police station, he denied having the child. This led to the investigation by the police officers so that they could locate the child. At first, they went to the school where the child was attending. The school teachers informed the policemen that the daughter had been taken by the father. At that moment., the father was arrested due to evidence pointing at him. He decided to make a call to the grandmother where he had taken Danisha and informed her that he was going to be arrested so the grandmother could come with Danisha at the police station. When Jane saw her daughter, she started crying out loud. She went and held her as the tears were scrolling down her cheeks. She asked her mother in law why she hadn't called her to inform her that her daughter was at her place. she told her that she would not have filed a case, I thought that Stephan had kidnapped my child and maybe he never wanted me to see my child again she sobbed. At the end of the case, Danisha was given to her mom according to the laws. Danish finished her primary six and primary seven at her mother's home but she could bypass her father's place of work and get some money from him for due to the love towards her daughter, he still gave each and everything to her. When Danisha finished primary seven, she asked her mother to visit her father's place, when Danisha reached her father's place, she found another woman whom she was told to call Mom. That was her stepmom Sophia. She had given birth to two boys, one named Dixon and the other called Dylan. Danisha decided to start schooling from her father's place and he took her to the nearby secondary school and had her registered. Danisha loved her two brothers that whenever she came back from school, she could bathe them, wash their clothings and cook for them supper. But to Sophia, Danisha looked like a bastard child who stole her husband's fatherly love from her two sons. Danisha had lost most of her body due to the punishments given to her by Sophia. she had lost so much weight due to the stress when one day her dad was involved in a motor accident. This happened when a Ranger over UAZ driven by a politician lost its way and knocked the motorcycle guy that had Danisha's Dad as a passenger. Danisha was home with his two brothers and mother Sophia when a certain bodaboda at kirungi stage came over and told the Stepmom Sophia that her husband had been involved in an accident. Sophia dressed up so quickly and she was taken away by the boda boda man who bought the accident information. As an adult daughter, Sophia had to confort his two brothers. They kneeled down and started praying for their father to becomed fine. At immediately one a.m, Danisha's Dad Stephen kicked the bucket as as they were home still waiting for their mom to come back, they were surprised to see a large number of people conjugating into their compound. Danisha felt scared!As they were still observing the congregation, in their compound, people started talking about their dad , he has been friendly why die in a sudden way. As Danisha was still combining the conversation spoken by the strangers and the neighbors, she saw a large track entering into their compound, it had mostly men on it and she saw her stepmother Sophia climbing down the car while crying. She called, Dylan..... Dixon..... what will we do... My beloved sons, your daddy is dead "kyokka" you're still young. You've not yet studied..... what am I going to do me a poor Sophia she lamented Sophia. Danisha began feeling scared more..... she started crying out loud not believing that her father had passed away in such a sudden way. She cried out her eyes until the moment she couldn't see anything and she lost consciousness. At that time it was approaching 6:00 a.m., Dixon and Dylan were all just looking staring at each and everything that people were doing. Dylan pulled her mother's leg and asked.... :. Mom, why is dad laid down in the sitting room???? why are the chairs being taken away????? I want to see dad...... I want him to hold me up....... I want to sit on his lap........ he kept lamenting carelessly, as Sophia watched his son asking many questions, she cried even more,. For Dixon.,he went and grabbed his father's arm and started calling out....., dad.. dad... Come and we have supper.. The burial ceremony was held... Stephen ended that way, Jane took away her child to start living with her once again... She was still in form one... Dixon and Dylan were taken by different clan mates.
