The next morning, I spent the whole time sitting at the window, reading a book. It wasn't really that interesting, just some story about animals killing humans. It was probably more interesting than I gave it credit for.
But I was resting, waiting to hear if Robert was close by, either from him or from the hybrid. I kept looking out the window, trying to see if I could spot anyone.
Sebastian had left early that morning, and he still hadn't returned yet. I wondered what he was doing, it wouldn't take much for me to break out of here, but then if I did that, he would hunt me down, and probably kill me and take my daughter anyway.
