KIELAN Lylah looked rigid. I tried to smile to ease her nerves, but it seemed to worsen it. Each time I looked at her, her eyes always widened. She would gulp, then avert her gaze. I tried making small talk. “So, how's your bar?” I'd never liked small conversations. I had always been a man of few words, only talking when necessary, and most times, it wasn't serious talk.
