Dungeons of The Past

Deep within the Earth, there was a city. It was a city of stone. And within that city, was trapped a dark being. He was a Dark Lord of the past, and had been banished there thousands of years before. But now he had found a way to escape, and destroy the world above. The gateway to the city was sealed, and had been lost. But someone had found it, and now an excavation team has been attempting to unearth it. "How long is this gonna take?" one of the workers asked, his back sore from digging. "We should be finding the opening soon. This was where the tunnel showed on the satellite," his supervisor told him. "Alright. But my back ain't feelin' it anymore." "Just keep digging." So they kept on digging, until one of the other workers found a small hole. "I think I found the opening!" the worker called. "Let's see," the supervisor said, walking over to the worker. There was definitely a hole in the ground. "Bring the scanner over here. I wanna see if this is what we're looking for." So they brought the scanner over and scanned through the hole in the ground, and soon found out that, yes, that was the tunnel entrance. "Hey, Steve!" the supervisor called. "Bring the excavator over here. But be careful. I don't want it to cave in." After about ten minutes of careful digging, they managed to clear the tunnel. When the tunnel had been cleared, the group of workers felt a cold wind come out of the tunnel. "There shouldn't be any wind coming out of there," the supervisor said. Then, suddenly, there was a purple light coming from deep within the tunnel. And it was coming towards them. "Something's down there," the supervisor said, now clearly afraid. "We need to leave, now!" "What about the equipment?" one of the others asked. "Forget it!" Then they all heard a voice come from the tunnel. It sounded cold, and evil. "My time to rise has come. And you will be the first to die by my hand!" Before anyone could run, a wave of dark energy came flooding out of the tunnel, killing every last person on site.
