The jet's wheels touch down Dublin Airport's runway, and I can't help but feel a flutter of excitement in my chest. It's my first time in this beautiful city, and knowing that I’m going to see Chase makes me even more excited.
A few moments pass, and the pilot's voice breaks through the hushed cabin, announcing our arrival. The cabin door swings open, and the flight attendant ushers her way in to assist us with our luggage.
I gather my carry-on bag, making sure not to wake Kay, who is nestled against my shoulder, his tiny fingers clutching onto Woody but he wakes up anyway. Woody is his favorite toy, and he does not sleep without him, so I had to double-check that we didn’t leave him behind.
