“Wow,” Chase says, getting to his feet as I step back into the room after changing into my new dress. I had a couple of dresses I thought were cute, but when I started packing what I wanted to take and thinking of what I was going to wear for the meeting, nothing felt good enough.
So, I quickly dashed to the mall and broke my bank on three designer dresses. It’s the reason we ended up rushing to the airport, out of time.
