Felsey had moved to the next desk, directly behind the blond girl. “Jamie Connelly,” he said, his pen tapping the top.
“Yes!” Jamie breathed, rushing over to his new seat.
Three more desks filled behind Jamie, completing the first row. Felsey moved up to the first desk of the second row and assigned three more seats, moving toward the back of the room. He then tapped on the fourth desk with his pen... “Cameron Keller,” he said.
Cam walked over to his seat with Ani’s stare on him all the way. He sat down and glanced up and over at her, seeing the hurt on her face. Christine looked at Cam as he looked at Ani, then she looked at Ani staring back at Cam. “Ani, why is Cam Keller looking at you like that?”
Ani didn’t answer and Felsey seated Christine before she had a chance to say anything
