“Yup. She was sitting in his truck, but I didn’t know she was planning on taking off with him. If I knew, I would’ve tried to stop her.”
“And you don’t have any ideas where Cameron may have gone?”
“No. I just know he seemed pretty bummed. He said he was leaving as soon as he settled some unfinished business with his old man.”
Francine replayed the entire phone conversation over in her mind as she stared at the remains of what used to be the Keller house. She took Ani’s note out of her purse and read it again, hoping that she may have missed some kind of clue...
