The Unexpected Fork in the Road

Chapter 4

It's 6pm. The pool is closed for the day. We get changed as quickly as possible. We need to get to the dining room before it closes for the evening. We all meet in the hallway of our rooms. To walk to the dining room to have dinner together. We get there, and the host sits us down at a table for 9 of us. The area where you get the food is set up with an all-you-can-eat buffet. They had fresh buns and bread. A huge salad bar, lots of fresh fruit. A whole area with just desserts of little cakes and cookies. A small ice cream bar. An area where they cook fresh pastas for you. Next to that, have a person who is craving 2 different meats they have that night. Tonight is pork roast or j e r k chicken. It smells so good. We fill up our plates with the foods we like or what we are willing to try. After we are done eating, we each leave a dollar tip on the table to thank the waiter or waitress who helped us get drinks and such during dinner.

My Dad and youngest brother decided to come along while the rest of the family went back to the room to unwind for a bit. Before they went to go check out the entertainment for the night. We walked along the beachfront. Over to the piers where we could see the ocean. Also, hear the waves coming and going along the shoreline. It was so beautiful seeing nature like this. The sun had set about an hour ago. When you look up into the sky, you can see all the bright stars. That you wouldn't be able to see normally. We do get to see the stars, but not as bright as this. We do live in a smaller city. In the bigger cities, it's harder to see the stars with all the city lights. The temperature tonight is in the mid 70s. That is in Fahrenheit. We head back to the room to get the rest of the family to go check out the entertainment for the night. We went to the other side of the hotel near the dining room. Where they have a stage and a bunch of chairs set out. You can either sit or stand to listen to the music or show they have set up for the night. It was a small magic show at first. Afterward, they have some live music to listen to go dance too.

As I am sitting there watching the magic show, I feel a tinkling down the back of my neck. I look around to see if I could see anyone. I don't see anyone. It is somewhat crowded in the area we are sitting. After the magic show, the live music starts about 10 to 15 minutes after the music has started. Alina and my youngest brother Sam started to get restless as it had been a long day for them. They wanted to go back to the room. The rest of the family wanted to go back as well. My mom said "she would watch Alina and Sam. If I wanted to stay and enjoy the entertainment." My older younger brother Shawn, decided he wanted to stay with me and keep me company.

We decided that we would go over to the bar and get a drink. After we get our drinks, go over to the side, where you could either dance or just stand without being in anyone's way. We are standing there listening to the music with our drinks in our hands. We are both swaying to the music. I feel that tingling sensation again. I feel that tingling sensation again. I look around the area, to connect to the same blue eyes. I connected with earlier today. He was so handsome to me. He has sandy brown hair, a medium build and looks like he does workouts often. His height looks to be about 5'11 maybe 5'12. He has blue eyes. Those blue eyes suck you in. I feel like I am looking deep into his soul. I also feel he is looking into mine. Once I have regained my bearings, I look away quickly. I looked over at Shawn who was still enjoying the music and his drink from the bar. I shyly look back over to see him. As he looks as he is undressing me with his eyes. I get nervous and looked away again.
