EPISODE 1 In the heart of a small town there was a grand palace ,its gleaming white stones walls shining like gold, around the palace flowers of all types were well planted in a uniform way ,the gate of the palace sparkled like diamond in the sun,making people wonder if such beautiful places existed,the gate was surrounded with well built up guards who had swords ,rifles and sharp arrows ready to attack any threat to the palace. High at the luxurious balcony stood a beautiful princess named Aurora surrounded by maids and guards she was a rare beauty, her gown flowed like moonlight ,her silk hair dancing in rhythm with the powerful wind, her face like that of an angel,she was flawless, she was looking at how peaceful the town was ,she looked around and smiled, her smile was like the first light of dawn, she looked at her maids still smiling. "What do you think of this town??" She asked politely " It's so beautiful milady " Grace answered "Just that??" She asked looking at others, she wanted their opinion too but they were shy to speak up. "Today is my twentieth birthday but l feel so sad and moody l don't know why?"She asked looking at her trusted maid Lisa. "Maybe you are overexcited for this,the king will at least let you leave the palace,you are twenty now,remember his promise " Lisa tried calming her down. "l hope so" she answered "Let's go l want to see my father before my party begins" She said nicely They left and headed to her fathers chambers ,on the arrival Aurora saw something that caught her eyes,she had never beheld such a beauty in that palace, he saw a handsome figure standing outside her father's door it was lucas handsome self ,he was tall ,well-built standing with strength of someone born to protect,his broad shoulders fit in his palace guard attires ,the well tailored guard uniform with silver accents tracing the age of the of his armor it was catching the lights as he was standing attentively and alert at the door. His posture was straight, disciplined, yet there was calm confidence in his stance, Aurora had never seen him before,she walked even faster he looked rather old compared to her but she did not bother about that, When Lucas spotted Aurora coming he went for his sleek head armor ,the armor sually covered everything except his eyes which remains visible,sharp and alert,the armor lend him an air of mystery leaving only those powerful eyes to tell the story of the man beneath the steel. Before he could put the head armor on, "Don't....no need for that , Where the hell is Lucas" Aurora asked unknowingly, she knew Lucas was the guard assigned to her father he was the most trusted guard in the palace, her father had once told her that he loved and trusted him like his son.He looked at her with his beautiful innocent eyes "Am sorry Milady,l did not mean to remove this,wasn't feeling well that's why l removed it" Lucas said politely "It's okay but why is your voice familiar??Are you brothers with Lucas??" She asked again she had never seen Lucas face since every day and time most of the guards had their head armor on especially Lucas. "Am Lucas Milady" He explained calmly. "You??? Lucas???Wow!! No wonder your voice seemed familiar " Aurora said looking at him ,she was stunned with his deep husky voice, his face ,body and everything, he was her kind of man, she could not hide it,this was love at first sight. 'It's okay am here to see my father" She said still looking at him. "Okay Milady " He said opening the grand door. "Your Majesty " She greeted jokingly, her father loved her so much more than he loved Harold who was Aurora's elder brother. "Come here my little being, you have turned twenty years today...Happy birthday my angel" King Richard said hugging his favourite being . "Yeah Paps remember your promise?" She asked kissing his hands "No... l don't..."The king answered teasing her. "But Paps you promised " she said childishly still kissing his hands. "Baby..you know Paps never breaks his word,,you will go see the world soon just as promised".He said directing her to the sit next to them.Aurora noticed her fathers voice,mood,he seemed restless, defeated and stressed. "Paps are you really okay??You seem rather stressed" She said with concern "No ...am okay....there is something l want to tell you,,l wanted to send for you but thank God you came . .listen my dearest little thing,,the only person you have to trust when am gone ...is Lucas,don't trust anyone else,protect your mom at any cost,your brother might be the eldest but he is not brave and strong like you my girl" He said looking at Aurora, she was confused and interested at the same time. "What's going on Paps??Is war coming??Are you under threat??"She asked looking at her father in confusion. "No dearest but we just have to be prepared, l have a feeling that we need to be prepared " King said trying too hard to hide his fears to his precious daughter. "So remember trust no one...only Lucas should be trusted...everyone else is an enemy "Her father said fearless "It's okay father...let me go l need to prepare myself for the party "Aurora said standing, she had realised that she wasn't that strong,seeing her father in such a vulnerable state,she was so sad the lion of Aruke kingdom was no longer that strong. She was leaving when her father stopped her . "Promise me you will fight for Aruke kingdom till the end and also protect your brother"He asked his voice so powerless Aurora turned around held her gown and ran back to him,she gave him a warm hug,and tears of sadness rolled down theirs faces. "I will father...l promise...but you are not going anywhere right?" She asked looking at her father with high hopes,he could not look at her,,he immediately looked away. "Yeah l will always be here with you my angel" He said trying to hide his face. Behind the door Queen Margaret was listening to them,,she was so sad ,,she cried so helplessly,,n
