Another shot and another painful howl. f**k. Connor. I scream through the mind link, but there's no connection.
Evan's wolf is at my heels as we run through the woods, tracking Connor's scent. There are two others with him. Hunter tells me as he continues running in that direction.
The Alphas. I reply. It's not really a question. I already know the answer to it. We take another sniff, making sure we have a good grasp of the scent and get something else besides the three wolves. Blood. And silver.
