Chapter 51

2018 Words

Silas POV I shift back to Kingston as we run, and I see Nick shifting back to wolf form next to me. My poor prosthetic is just lying in a field now, but there’s nothing I can do about it now. Finding Liam and Garrett is the only thing that matters.  The smell of blood and the cries of dying animals hit me long before I can see anything. As we finally make our way towards the clearing, the scene stops me in my tracks. There are like six gigantic wild cats snarling and circling what’s probably their prey. Across the clearing are the naked body of dead shifters and shifted back to their human form as they were dying. And in the middle of the pack of cats stands two wolves. Garrett and Liam. Bane, Liam’s wolf, is lying on its side, blood gushing from a wound. I can’t tell if he’s moving.
