Chapter 10

1507 Words
Leah POV: I wake up, stretching, after having the best sleep of my life. Despite the strenuous activities from last night, I feel awake and refreshed, better than I have in a long time. Last night was amazing. I know everyone says sleeping with your mate is on a whole new level, but I didn’t believe it until now. My whole body is still tingling from his touch. Sienna purrs and stretches in her sleep and I know she had as good of a time as I did last night. The smell of citrus hits me, and I roll over directly into the solid wall that is Silas. He’s still sound asleep and snoring lightly.  Silas is sleeping on his side, his good leg curled into mine, while his leg with his prosthetic is thrown over my legs. I imagine he usually takes it off to sleep, but passed out before he had the chance. I remember his face last night when he first took off his pants, and he was terrified of how I’d react. Which is stupid, like having one leg made him an less of a man? But I did have questions, like how it happened and if his wolf had all four limbs. But all of those questions could wait.   I smile as I trace the tattoos across his biceps. I can’t wait to memorize all of them. While his arms, upper chest, and thighs are all covered with tattoos, his abs and back are blank from them. Silas’ body starts to twitch, and I know he’s waking up. “Good morning,” I say, giving him a light kiss on his lips. Silas smiles sleepily at me, “Good morning, Moyo.” “What does that mean? Moyo? You called me that last night too.” “It means heart in Swahili. My grandmother on my mom’s side was from Kenya, and she used to always call my grandfather that. You are my heart, Leah.” Ok, well I just melted a little. Having no idea how to respond to that, I just kiss Silas, twisting our bodies so his back is flat on the bed, and I’m straddling him. We’re both still naked, so I can feel as he instantly becomes hard underneath me. One of his hands is gripping my hair, while the other is fondling my breast and n****e. I force myself to break away from the kiss before we get carried away. “Last night was the best night of my life,” I tell him, “And I can’t wait for a repeat. But we’re going to be late if we don’t get up and get ready.” Silas grunts, as his hand slides from my hair to my ass. He tries to go in for another kiss but I sit up, still straddling him and cross my arms. “Don’t make this harder than it has to be,” I tell him, but I’m laughing, “I’m going to take a shower. We have to be down at the meeting in forty minutes.” He waits till I stand up and start to head to the bathroom before literally leaping off the bed and grabbing me from behind, holding me tightly to his body. “Perfect,” he whispers into my ear, as he lightly nips at it, “I’ll join you.” He doesn’t give me a chance to protest, not that I want to. He just picks me up over his shoulder like I weigh nothing and walks with me into the bathroom. “Silas! I can walk you know!” “I know.” Is all he says.  Once inside my bathroom, he sits me on the counter and goes to turn on the water. “I know how to turn on the water in my own damn shower,” I grumble, but the truth is, I’m loving that he is doing this for me. He just smiles that perfect, sexy smile, and again repeats, “I know.” “Do you need to take off your leg to shower?” I ask him as he waits for the water to get to the perfect temperature.  “Usually I do. I usually don’t sleep with it either. But I passed out. Does it bother you?” “No not at all. Do what you need to do to be comfortable. There’s a bench in the shower too.” I tell him. Silas rolls his eyes at me, picks me up from the counter then sets me in the shower. He then takes his leg off, and after resting it against the vanity, hops, literally, into the shower, and pins me against the wall, balancing perfectly on his one leg.  “I don’t need a bench to take a shower, Moyo. Or to do this.” With the water running down on our heads, Silas leans down and brings me into a kiss. At the same time, he slips inside of me. He’s using one arm to balance himself, while the other wraps around me. I wrap my arms around his waist, in an effort to help balance him. Not that he needs it. The man is a s*x god regardless of how many legs he has, and soon I’m arching my back off the wall, head thrown back as I scream out in ecstasy. Neither one of us lasts long this time, and soon we’re both spent, leaning against each other for support, as we continue to get drenched by the shower. “You are a bad influence,” I tell him, laughing. “Oh, I know,” he says as he kisses me again. ********* “s**t, s**t s**t,” I grumble, panicking, as I throw a shirt on and struggle into my pants. We ended up getting way too distracted in the shower and I now had five minutes to get down to the meeting. I guess today is a no makeup and no breakfast type of day. Damn. We finally stumbled out of the shower, 30 minutes later, and another round. And we did end up using that bench after all.  After we get out, Silas realizes he doesn’t even have clothes in the pack house, since he was supposed to be staying in one of the cottages. He had to text Garrett to bring him clothes, who of course did not miss the opportunity to make fun of us mercilessly when he knocked on my door. Thank Goddess I locked myself up in the bathroom and he couldn’t see how red my face is.   “Garrett’s gone, you can stop hiding now,” Silas tells me from the other side of the door. I open the door, still completely red. “I’m not hiding, jerk.” He just laughs, “Yeah, ok. You ready? If we leave now we should get there with a minute to spare.” “Yes, let’s go.” I’m so worried about being on time, it doesn’t even occur to me that Silas and I are walking in the conference room together, with 30 seconds to spare, with a room full of wolves that can smell everything.  s**t. I walk in and literally every head turns to look at us. I can hear the gears turning in the councilmen’s heads as Silas squeezes my hand reassuringly, “Moyo, it’s ok. Don’t let those fuckers get to you. This meeting is about those kids. Not us. Don’t let them think otherwise.” For a second I’m freaking out, thinking Silas is going to kiss me in front of everyone. But thank Goddess he doesn’t. I’m just not ready for that now. He just gives my hand one more squeeze and goes to sit down next to Garrett.  I make eye contact with Councilman Everett who has his typical sneer plastered to his face, before sitting in between Gabe and Brett. Brett is looking at me with concern, while Gabe smirks and pushes a bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel in front of me. “I figured you probably missed breakfast and would be hungry.”  I completely ignored his suggestive eyebrow wiggle as I bit down into the sandwich hungrily.  “You’re a lifesaver Gabe. Thank You!.” “Of course Leah. You helped me out all the time when I first met Logan. It’s normal to be distracted when you first meet your mate, Le. And you deserve to have fun once in a while. Don’t worry about Mr. Aguafiestas over here,” nodding towards Brett, who is glaring at Silas like he’s ready to murder the guy,  “Enjoy yourself.” “Thanks Gabe,” I reply in between bites.  I look over at Brett with concern. What is going on with him? He was the one who told me to stop stressing, yet the way the vein is bulging out at the side of his head, he looks like he’s about to have an aneurism. I make a mental note to talk to him later and make sure he is ok.  Meanwhile, Everett’s eyes are darting between Silas and I, and I know he’s trying to figure out what’s going on. “Councilman Everett, should we begin?” Silas asks him casually, his eye brow raised in a challenge. He’s putting the council in a position where they either call the two of us out in front of 100 high ranking wolves about our possible s*x lives or they go on with the meeting.  Thankfully, Everett choses the meeting. He mumbles something incomprehensible under his breath and then says out loud to everyone, “Yes, let’s begin.”
