I jerked up awake. Quickly looking around to where i was. I settled down when i remembered that i was in Thane's room. Well our room now. I quickly looked next to where Thane had been sleeping and he was not there. To my dismay my heart skipped a bit. Like just started that unhealthy pounding. Where was he? Where could he have gone?Did he leave me again? When will he be back?. All these questions started humming through my mind. Insecure much i know. I dont think i could live another day without him by my side,forget about a whole month. In my defence i think it was because of the nightmare that i had been having just before i jerked up awake. I was sort of like in an endless void. A dark,scary endless void, looking for Thane but no matter how much i searched and screamed his name i could not find him. I would get a glimpse of him,indicating that he was in the scary void with me but i could not get to him. And waking up with him not being beside me like he was supposed to was not helping at all. My panic was starting to make my hands shake. I cannot live without him. I loved him so much. Come-on Sie,get a grip. I chided myself. He was probably in the bathroom or out to see how his kingdom has been doing when he was not around to rule and here i was,probably freaking out over nothing. Okay there was no probably about it. I was definitely freaking out big time. As if i conjured him up. The man himself walked out of the bathroom. A white towel around his waist. It was obvious he had just showered. His hair was not even dry yet. And all those muscles were in the open for my display. He looked hot as hell. Before he had even taken three steps,i was out of the bed and ran straight into his arms and hugged him tight. I needed to hold him,to make sure that he was still with me. Waking up to any an empty bed had freaked me out and not to mention the nightmare.

"Woman,what are you doing?" His deep voice filled with confusion asked. Oh yeah i had forgotten that he had some sort of amnesia but did he have to sound so confused. Hadn't he ever heard about hugging before. Amnesia or not things like hugging should be known. It was common knowledge thou it was obvious it wasn't to him. So i did the only sensible thing that a normal person would have done in that kind of situation,I ignored his question and continued to hug him.

"Woman!." He bellowed. His impatience obviously getting the better of him. And could he not keep quiet for a second or two and just flow with the moment. Neanderthal men!

"My name is Sienna. I told you that last night and im also hugging you. You are not that obtuse Thane,try and keep up." I said rolling my eyes. Thou he could not see my face because i was burying it into his chest.

"Obtuse? Sienna did you just call me obtuse?" He asked with awe in his voice. I looked up at him and saw his eyes sparkling with a bit of mischief just like like my old Thane. He was still in there,i just had to keep trying to reach him and i would. And he had used my name! But just as fast i saw the mischief in his eyes,it quickly disappeared leaving the stoic and confused Thane.

"No i said you are not that obtuse."

"What is the difference?"

"It means you are at least fifty percent less obtuse than originally obtuse people." I said into his chest. His after shower scent was beginning to get to me. Intoxicating me.

"Woman,i have no idea what you are on about but you intrigue me and you are all mine." He said that last part with so much possessiveness that my breasts started to tingle. When i had argued with him about that,he had suggested a compromise,sitting on the balcony. I doubt he remembered that conversation thou,with all the memory loss and all. That had to change i wanted him to remember something,anything. And i wanted to know where he has been for the whole month. Mind blowing s*x had not made me forget that part,thank goodness. "I did not remember something. I remember all of it."

He chuckled,making my heart swell with love for him and blush some more. He was a person who did not laugh all the time. Mostly he would be stoic or scowling and intimidating as f**k but when he would smile,it would be priceless. And the smile would turn his expression,making it soft and making him more approachable. But only i knew this because i was the only one lucky enough to see and receive his smiles.

"The way you blush,makes me want to ravish you all day long." He continued and his stare had changed. It was now devouring me,like he could see through my clothes. "Who trapped you?" I asked with a shock filled voice. Who had managed to trap and chain the vampire king for a whole month?

"Anna." He said softly

"Back up a bit please. Who is Anna?"

"Aurora's sister."

"Okay im officially lost. Who the hell is Aurora and this Anna?" I asked a little loudly. I was getting irritated with the female names that Thane kept spewing. Could he not go straight to the point already.

"Sienna..." He started. I guess he noticed my irritated look.

"Dont Sienna me. Can you just explain your story please. If you manage to do it without annoying me further,i would really appreciate it." I said cutting him off and snapped that last part. What was with me now? I was not on my monthly. So why the mood swing so quickly. I know if it had been someone else who had switched between moods as quickly as i had,i would have probably said something sassy like *someone's pants are on too tight or asked if he or she had missed the morning dose*. Crazy i know but i am insane like that. But right now i was not going to sassy myself cause it kinda felt weird. Not that it stopped me before. Yep like i said insane. But the block that was in my chest was still heavy inside. I felt it when Thane mentioned those women's name. The feeling was getting close to be jealousy. It could not be jealous right? I didn't do jealous ever. And i had no reason to be jealous. Thane was all mine and he had eyes for me and me alone.

"Are you jealous?" He asked,but i could clearly hear the smile in his voice which managed to irritate me further. There must have been an expression on my face because Thane laughed a bit. Well his version of a laugh because the sound i heard would terrify children to death. If it was not the mischief i saw in his eyes. I would not have called it a laugh. "Dont scowl little one,you will wrinkle your beautiful face. But are you really jealous?" He continued. He really needed an answer didn't he,otherwise why would he persist with that annoying question.

"No im not jealous." I snapped.

"I think you are." He said,his eyes still full of mischief.

"No im not."

"Yes you are."

"No im not."

"Yes you...."

"Thane,focus please. You were about to explain who Aurora is. Better yet start at the beginning."

Thank goodness he did not make fun of me again. Amusement vanishing on his face. He started to explain the situation from the beginning. How they were cursed into turning to be reapers. A reaper was a vampire without control. Literally. Who only hunted for blood without any thoughts ever. Children,pregnant mothers or the elderly would not be spared if they are unfortunate enough to cross into the path of one. He continued to tell me how they had somehow managed to delay the curse by sacrificing a virgin woman. Him or one of his trusted men would seduce the woman into falling in love with him. So much so that the woman would be willing to do anything for him. Including being strapped on a stone alter and get stabbed to death. Yeah no. I wouldn't do that. Or would i? Yeah totally. The answer came immediately. With the way i love him,i would do anything for him. Including going through that agonizing death. Thane continued to further explain that it had been his turn and he had seduced Aurora and she had also agreed to the ritual in the name of love. But at the last minute she had figured out that Thane did not love her back. So she wanted out and not do the ritual anymore but it had been too late. Apparently she had realized that when she was already strapped in on the alter. So they had no choice but to finish the sacrifice. I almost feel bad for her. Key word being 'almost'. So with her last breath she had placed a death curse on Thane and also one on me because i was supposed to kill him,apparently. Somehow she came from a family full of witches. Yeah it was not that shocking to me. Me and my friends,we knew that there were many creatures of the night that existed all around us because we researched about them and discovered interesting,freaky and terrifying things. But i know my kind can be really ignorant. And if i was our normal self i would have fainted when i discovered that Thane was a vampire because i would be ignorant too. Oh i mean the freaking vampire king but he was still my blue-eyed God and i loved him to death.

"If she died,how come she is here now?"

"She is not here. I know that now."

"How do you know?" I asked

"Can i finish explaining first little one before you bomber me with questions." He asked which caused me to blush furiously.

He chuckled at that. A real chuckle and i loved the sound very much. At my nodding to his question. He continued to explain all about Aurora's sister Anna. Who had fallen in love with him too. I really couldn't blame her. My man was really hot and sexy as f**k. So Anna had been influencing my mind to hurt Thane it was no curse at all just black magic and her jealous. I guess it was a fit of some sort. Thou I was kind of terrified,because yeah it was black magic after all. And to make things worse it was in the hands of a woman who wanted Thane for herself and saw me as a rival. Yeah things were not looking good for me. I swear i could feel that she was seething with anger because Thane had managed to escape and come back to me. Instead of him killing me like she had wanted,he had f****d me into oblivion. Ok i would be seething mad too. But i was not going to stay by Thane's side if it meant that i would try to hurt him again. Wait a minute. I said i could feel Anna's anger but how could i? I was not a witch or psychic. Unless,,oh boy. Unless she was lurking in my mind again. I went to get up and Thane pulled me back to him,with a frown on his face "Where are you going? I want you next to me all the time."

"All the time?" I asked confused

"Yes all the time. I dont know what Anna will do now. Especially when she finds out that i had escaped and not kill you like she wanted. Who am i kidding? Of course she knows already. f**k!" He said and cursed some more. Using words that made me blush furiously despite the situation we were in.

"Thane,i love you. And i dont want anything bad to happen to you. Especially when it is caused by my hand." I said softly. But Thane kept looking at me with a shock filled face. It was priceless and a little cute. Not that i would call him that to his face. He would eat me for breakfast,brunch,lunch and supper if i dared to say that to his face I just know it. A man his size would not like a word like cute to associate with his name. But what could i have said to put that look on his face. Oh Lord,i said i loved him. I did not mean to put it out there just like that but i had to say it because i could really feel Anna now. Inside my head. I was afraid she would take over my mind without me telling him how much i loved him.

"You love me?" He managed to ask past his shock. Thank goodness. I was beginning to think he needed a doctor. If there was even one for vamps.

"Yes Thane. I love you very much."

"Good because I love you too. So damn much. And i wont lose you to Anna's influence. No matter what happens stay by my side." He said in determined voice and then took my lips in soul shattering kiss. He devoured and devoured my lips until i thought i was going to pass out from the lack of air. If i did not know any better i would say Thane's kiss had a bit of fear in it. Yeah because it was black magic. He might be old and experienced but black magic was enough to make anyone shake in their boots. Even if its a little bit.

"Wait,Thane." I managed to get the words out. And he looked at me,his eyes filled with passion. Im sure mine were just the same but we had pressing matters. I got up quickly,and went for the closet. Quickly i wore my black jeans and a purple shirt.

"What's going on? Why are you getting dressed?."

"Its Anna. I can feel her Thane." I said pointing to my head to make him understand what i meant. "I need to get away from you now before she takes over my mind."

"You are not leaving me!" He growled

"Im not. I love you too much but i want to protect you too." I said between gasps because my head was now pounding a sure sign of her taking over my mind. At least i was now at the door and Thane was still across the room,getting dressed. I opened the door and made a run for it. I did not bother to close the door behind me.

"Sienna!" Thane shouted,but i did not stop. After i had taken about ten steps. I suddenly heard a boom sound and flew across the passage. My eyes were ringing so badly. My last thought before blackness took me was that,i hope Thane was okay because i could not be without him.

My head hurt. It was literally pounding. Where am i? And are those crickets im hearing. I tried to move but i couldn't. Was i tied up or something. What the hell happened? I started playing the last activity i did. I remember Thane shouting my name and he sounded furious with me. Why was he mad at me thou? Oh yeah i was running away from him. Because of Anna. s**t! I had run because i had started feeling her trying to take over my mind again. Thoughts of killing Thane had started playing in my mind. As if its a song on repeat. That's why i had ran,not that i managed to get far. That boom sound. What was it? Could it have been a bomb? Who planted it? Was Thane alright? All these questions kept going through my mind. I tried getting up again because i needed to get back to Thane. To check if he was alright and i couldn't feel Anna inside my head. So i took that as a good sign. I kept wriggling my body,but i could not seem to budge out of whatever was tying me up.

"Don't bother trying to get free cause you wont be able to. I used black magic to create those ropes." A female voice said. The voice was full of rage and hatred and i noticed it was coming from a few feet away from me.

"Who are you?" I asked looking up to where she was sitting. Was she sitting on a snake statue. Creepy and so not cool. I really hate snakes. Live ones,the ones made of stone and pictures of them too. I had to admit thou,that she was beautiful. Her hair was long up-to her waist and she had full lips. I could not tell what her eye colour was because she was a bit faraway from me to notice that particular detail. But her face was flawless.

"Anna."

Oh s**t! This was Anna. The Anna. Aurora's sister. The black witch. Yeah i was calling her that,because of her fondness of black magic. Damn! She had said she used black magic on the ropes im tied with. That was not good at all. "Where is Thane? What did you do to him?" I asked,avoiding the part were i had to acknowledge her name.

"I see you have heard of me." She snickered. "And Thane will be okay,now that you are not by his side."

"Why am i here?"

"I kidnapped you. I wanted you away from from him. And i will do anything to make that happen even kill you." She said that last part with so much venom in her voice that i didn't doubt that she meant it. She would really kill me,just to have Thane for herself.

"Where you the one who planted a bomb in the house? Was Thane hurt?"

"Stop saying his name!" She shrieked. Startling me. Yeah this woman was clearly bat s**t crazy. My chances of survival were really not looking great here. "I hate hearing his name on your lips. And yes i used a magical bomb,filled with a few dead souls. I wanted to slow Thane down. At least enough for some of my creatures to get you here."

"Some of your creatures? What creatures?" I asked,freaking out a lot. I didn't like any kind of creatures. Who would want creatures on them? So not okay and terrifying. And just because i asked,Anna muttered a few words,a spell i guess. And all around me creatures of some sort appeared. Snakes,huge ones,lizards,spiders,skreelings at list i thought that's what they were. They were sort of skeleton creatures that came from the underworld,they only hunted humans. Maybe they were not,but i did not have the heart to ask what those creatures were. So to put it simply,i was screwed.

"So its been fun. I will tell Thane that you died quickly. Not that im going to grant you a quick death." She snickered. Before i could say anything. She muttered another spell and one of the giant snakes crawled to me with a speed i didn't understand and sank its fangs deep in my throat. I screamed so loudly. I was in terrible pain and this bite was nothing like my man's. His was full of pleasure,while this one was full of death and pain. I could feel death starting to paralyze me. My vision blurred. I felt hot. Tears were pouring out of my eyes. I could barely hear anything. I could start to feel myself sink into the darkness. Before i lost consciousness, i thought i heard Thane screaming my name using our bond. His voice was full of fear but i could not even have the energy to assure him that i was okay. The whole world disappeared in front of my eyes. And darkness finally claimed me.
