The Vampire King

Five thousand years ago Thane Can the ritual get here already? I asked myself for the 100th time today. Why was she acting so clingy today? I get that im hot and all but my patience was wearing thin. I think i might actually kill her by accident if she continues with her whining. I had to act like i had been interested in her because we needed a virgin for the sacrifice,a willing virgin to be precise. I had explained a bit to her and she knew she was going to die for me. Don't be so surprised that she had agreed. I had seduced her and made her fall madly in love with me,enough to do what i wanted. Of course there had been no s*x,thank goodness,because she had to be a virgin. My men were preparing the altar,the sacrifice had to be performed by midnight. I just hope i will last that long without me killing her first. I don't care about this woman. I rule my kingdom with an iron fist and they are the only ones i care about. We did not want to turn to reapers again. Reapers are rogue vampires. They feed without mercy or care. They only care about blood,all they will think about. Before we had learned about this sacrificing a virgin thing,all of us would turn into reapers once a year. Thou it would be only for a day,we would m******e cities and cities,villages too or any human who had the misfortune to cross our path,we did not even spare children or pregnant women. That damned curse! Seducing a woman so that she would be used as a sacrifice was bad i know but i did not care. I don't know who cursed my kind but we had found a loop hole around the curse . "Thane!" A female voice shouted on my side. "What is it Aurora?" I asked with a hint of annoyance in my voice. "Im dying for you today,and you don't even care to give me a bit of your attention since its my last day,you are even getting annoyed with me." She replied with tears in her eyes. Oh s**t,she was crying. I hate it when women cry and i get im supposed to feel bad for her but i don't,oops! "I love you Thane,that's why im doing this for you and your kind." She continued "I know Aurora,forgive me for being inattentive to you." I said tasting the lie on my tongue. I just wanted this to be done and over with. "Its ok baby,can you please just hold me." I hated holding a woman to sleep but had to indulge her for my seduction plan to succeed, apparently she now thinks its my thing. I guess i will have to pretend for a few more hours. Aurora and i proceeded to her room and i held her. Soon enough it was almost midnight. We all prepared and went to the altar and Aurora lay on the altar,the executioner was already next to her,he would stab her once on her heart. "I love you Thane." She said with tears in her eyes "Thank you." "Thank you?,this is the moment you also say you love me or at least show me that you care." She said hurt was obvious in her tone. "Aurora..." "Oh my God,you fooled me didn't you? You only made me fall in love with you so that i would agree to die for you. How could you do this to me Thane?" She shouted,trying to get up from the altar but she couldn't because her hands were bound to her side. "You knew i didn't love you Aurora,its time." I said and nodded to the executioner to stab her as per ritual. "No i....." She did not manage to finish her sentence,a long hunter's knife stabbed her in her heart with full force. Blood starting woozing out of the wound. Only a few minutes and she will be dead. "Thane..i..never..told..you..that..i..come..from..a..family..of..witches. I...have..a little..magic..and...i..will..use...it..on...you." she said between gasps of pain. Magic?,what magic? We didn't want anymore curses but seems like we made a miscalculation or fate was playing with us again. How could my men not have found anything about this? "What is she talking about?, What magic?, How did you miss this?" I growled at my men "For..." She was trying to speak again. "Aurora,don't say another word. Gag her mouth." I ordered the executioner,i knew it was ruthless and insensitive but i didn't want another curse upon us again, obviously no one had a gag. "For_what_ you _have done_to_me_Thane,a woman_whom_you_will_love_with_all_your_heart_will_come,but _the more _you_love_her,the more_she_will_hate_you. She_will_be_the _end of _______you. With that,her last breath left her. Another curse,about love seriously,i thought she would do something more interesting. I rolled my eyes. "Clean this mess up and return to your posts." I said to my men,turning around i walked away to go and find a drink or two. Thank goodness it was done,fifty more years of peace.
