Chapter 7

Victoria's POV

As me and Ian are talking a customer comes in the store and it's my ex boyfriend Jake. Ian comes behind the counter and stands next to me. My body tenses up when Jake comes to the counter. He has annoyed look on his face.

"Is it true"

I look at him "Is what true Jake"

"That your dating Mickey Milkovich"

"Yes it's true how did you find out"

"I have my sources"

I roll my eyes "Course you do"

"Why are you dating him"

I give him a look "It's none of your business why I'm dating him"

"Course it is your my girlfriend"

"Ex girlfriend I broke up with you when I found out you were cheating on me with that slut Emily"

"Baby she doesn't mean anything to me"

"Jake don't try and do that 'she doesn't mean anything to me bullshit' because I don't buy it at all"

"Ok but I love you"

"If you loved me Jake you wouldn't have cheated on me

"I do love you I'm sorry for cheating on you please give me another chance"

"No Jake I'm not giving you another chance I'm happy with Mickey he makes me happy"

He scoffs "What does he have that I don't"

"He cares about me and doesn't want to get in my pants"

"I never wanted to get into your pants"

"Ok then why cheat on me"

"I only did it because you wouldn't have s*x with me"

I scoff "You cheated on me because I wouldn't have s*x with you are you f*****g kidding me"

"What I wasn't going to wait around forever to not have s*x with you I'm a guy I have needs what was I suppose to do"

"Uh maybe be a good f*****g boyfriend and wait for your girlfriend to be ready to have s*x with you"

"It's not like you are a virgin"

"So f*****g what if I'm not a f*****g a virgin the week after we had s*x I found out you have been cheating on me with that slut Emily"

"Look I'm sorry I hurt you but I'm begging for another chance"

"No Jake never happening now are you going to buy something if your not then f**k off"

"Ok I'll leave but I'll be back"

Ian goes to Jake and stands near him "Not if me and Mickey has something to do with it"

Jake moves and stands right in front of Ian "What are you and that Milkovich filth going to do"

"We'll f**k you up if you even think of touching or coming near Victoria"

"Just watch me carrot boy and not if I f**k you and Milkovich up first"

Before Ian can reply I cut in "No you won't Jake I have a gun with me and I'll shoot you in the f*****g leg and don't call my boyfriend filth that's what you are"

"Vic-"

"No Jake leave now before I do get my gun out and shoot you"

"Ok ok I'm going"

He leaves the store, Ian turns around and looks at me "Are you ok"

"Yeah I'm ok"

"I can't believe he had the nerve to come here and want a second chance"

"I know I can't believe it either"

"Do you really own a gun"

"I do and a knife as well"

"Did you bring them with you"

I smile "No I didn't bring them t I left them back at my house. when you walk me to Mickey's house we can go to mine first and I can show you my knife and gun"

"Ok great"

" Yeah hopefully we can close up soon I'm so bored"

"I am too and if there isn't any customers coming to the store we can lock up and leave early if you want"

I check the time on my phone and the time is 6:30 pm "Well it's only 6:30 we will wait until it gets to 8:30 and if there isn't any customers by then. Then we can leave"

"Ok I can deal with that"

"Ok"

"Are you going to tell Mickey about Jake coming to the store when you get to his house"

"Yes I'm not going to keep it from him"

"Ok and that's good better to tell him and not keep it from him"

"I agree"

Ian gives me a nervous look "Ian why do you look nervous"

"Um have you told Mickey about who took your virginity"

"No Ian I haven't"

He gives me a look of relief "Thank god I was worried that you had in case Mickey came after me and beat me up"

"Don't worry if he does I'll protect you"

He smiles at me "And I will protect you and Mandy from other people that try to hurt the both of you"

I smile back "Including my dad"

"Including your dad"

we hug again "I'm glad we're best friends"

We pull away "I am too"

"What are you doing when you get home"

"Well when I drop you off at Mickey's and get home. I will most likely going to bed and sleep or smoke and drink with Lip, Fiona and her boyfriend Jimmy"

"How long has she and Jimmy been dating for"/'/

"A couple of months now"

"Ok"

I get hungry "I'm hungry Ian can you please get me a bottle of Pepsi, a chicken sandwich and a packet of chips"

"Yes Vic"

He walks to the first isle and grabs two chicken sandwiches, two large packet of chips and he goes to the fridge and gets out two large bottles of Pepsi out. He comes back to the counter and gives me a chicken sandwich, a packet of chips and a bottle of Pepsi. He goes into his back pocket and gets a $10 dollar bill and passes it to me. I open the register and I put the $10 note in where the 10 dollar bills go and I give him 4.50 change. I get my bag out from under the counter. I unzip it and I get my purse out. I open my purse and I get out a $20 dollar note out and I put it in the register and I give my self 13.50 change. We don't want Linda and Kash to think we are eating food from the store and not paying for it. I open sandwich container, the packet of chips and bottle of Pepsi. Ian does the same and we start to eat and drink.

"So how is Lip going about the whole college thing"

Ian sighs "He doesn't want to apply and go"

"How come"

"He thinks just because he is from the south side that he will be stuck here forever"

"He won't unless he doesn't try to get out"

"I think he wants to but who knows and what about you"

"What about me"

"Do you want to go to college when we finish high school"

"I haven't really thought about it"

"Oh ok"

"But if I do chose to go to college it will be far away from the south side and away from my abusive father"

"Ok if you do go to college next year that is far away from here come visit me, my family and Mandy"

"I will"

"Ok whats the time now"

I pick up my phone from the counter, I turn my phone on again and I check the time again "It's just gone 7:25"

"Ok"

"Yeah hopefully there aren't any customers coming to the store tonight"

"So do I it's really f*****g cold and I just want to get into my warm bed and sleep"

"Me too"

"Well you will be going to your boyfriends house"

"That's true we need to find you a boyfriend Ian"

"We do but where"

"Well there a few gay clubs here in the south side we could go to"

"We could but you have to be 21 to get in"

"I know but I have a fake ID and your going to get one soon because I gave you the forms to get a fake ID"

"And I will be getting one next week"

"Ok then we can go to the clubs the week after you get the fake ID"

"OK"

We stop eating and drinking and the store door opens again. Fiona walks in with Carl, Debbie, Liam and I think her boyfriend Jimmy. I smile and they smile back

"Hi guys"

Fiona says"Hi Victoria"

"How are you guys"

"We are all good and how are you"

"I'm ok"

"What's wrong"

I look at her "How do you know something is wrong"

"Vic I've been looking after my siblings since I was a teenager and I can tell when something is bothering a person and when something is wrong"

"Ok well there is something"

Fiona looks at Debbie and Carl "Debbie, Carl why don't you take Liam to one of the isle's"

"Ok" Debbie says and Fiona give's them $50 dollars. Debbie and Carl take Liam to one of the isle's.

Fiona looks at me again"So what's wrong"

I sigh "It's my dad"

"What about him"

"He's getting out of prison tomorrow"

"OK but isn't that good"

"It's not good Fiona"

She looks at Ian "Ian what's going on do you know what's wrong"

"Yeah I do know her dad has been abusing her, her mom, her brother and sister since they were kids"

She looks at me again "Vic is that true"

I give her a sad look and I sigh "Yes it's true"

"When did he stop"

"He stopped when he went to prison"

"Jesus is that why your mother and brother moved away from here"

"Yes"

"Why didn't tell you tell me or anyone else"

"Because I was scared and afraid that if I told you or someone else that my dad would find out and hurt you"

"Vic I can look after myself"

"I know"

"Does anyone else know besides Ian and now me know"

"Yes Mandy and Mickey"

"Ok why does Mickey know"

"Well because I'm dating him"

"Your dating Mickey Milkovich"

"Yes"

"Ok well when your dad gets out tomorrow you can come stay with us if you want"

I smile "Thanks for the offer Fiona but Mickey already offered for me to stay with him and Mandy"

She smiles back "Ok well as long as your happy ok"

"I am happy"

"I'm glad your happy your like my little sister and I would do anything for you"

"I know you would and I would do the same for you and your family"

She comes over behind the counter and hugs me. We hug for a little while then we pull away. Jimmy Fiona's boyfriend looks a little uncomfortable. She walks back over to him.

"Vic this is my boyfriend Jimmy, Jimmy this is Ian's best friend Victoria"

I walk over to them and I shake hands with Jimmy.

"Nice to meet you Jimmy Ian told me about you"

"Ok and nice to meet you too"

"Well me, Jimmy and the kids have to get back home, she looks at Ian again "Ian when you get home make sure to lock the front and back door"

"Yes sis"

She looks at me again "Vic do you want to come round for a drink"

"I would like to but I'm going to Mickey's after work to look after him"

"Oh ok is he alright"

"He is ok just a bit sore and bruised up"

"Did something happen to him"

"Yeah he was attacked by someone"

"Oh ok anyway we better get going"

"Ok before you go if you ever need someone to babysit Liam, Carl and Debbie I can any time"

"Ok well I'll let you know"

"Ok"

Fiona calls out to Debbie and Carl "Debbie, Carl we are leaving"

"Ok Fiona" Debbie replies back

They come to the counter with a few chocolate bars, 3 ham and cheese sandwiches and 2 chicken and salad sandwiches, two packet's of large chips. They put the stuff on the counter and Debbie walks over to the fridge and gets two large bottles of Pepsi. Liam and Carl walk over to Fiona and Jimmy and they stand next to Fiona. Debbie comes to the counter again and she puts the bottle's on the counter as well. I scan all the things and I put them into two bags and I sneak 3 lollipop's in the bag with the food.

"That will be 25.90"

Debbie smiles and gives me the $50 bill note. I put it in the register and I give her 24.10 change. I wink at her I move forward and I whisper into her ear "Deb I've put three lollipops in the bag with the food for you, Carl and Liam don't let Fiona see"

She whisper's back "I promise"

I smile and she smiles back. She walks back over to Fiona and they all walk over to the store door and they leave. Ian looks at me "I know what you did"

I look at him and smile "Don't have a clue what your talking about"

He smiles back "Yeah sure you don't"

"I don't"

"I saw you put three lollipops in the bag"

"I did"

"I know don't worry I won't tell Fiona"

"Ok thanks"

I pick up my phone again and I check the time again. It's 7:45 pm just an hour until we can close up and leave. I put my phone back on the counter. 5 minutes later my phone vibrates it's a message from Mickey. I pick it up again and I unlock my phone to read the message. The message says 'Hi babygirl I'm in bed resting like I said I would' he sends me a pic of him resting in bed. I smile at the message and he sends me another one and it's of his d**k. (Sorry guys I had to) I go red in the face and I reply back.

V-Really Mick sending me a d**k pic

M-What you love it

V-I do but not while I'm at work with Ian

M-Who cares it's not like you will show anyone

V-I won't just don't do it again while I'm at work

M-Ok fine I promise I won't do it again while your at work

V-Ok good

M-Yep so what time will you be at my house

V-I will be soon Mick

M-Ok I'll let you get back to work and the door will be unlocked when you get here

V-Ok I'll text you when me and Ian have finished work and are on our way to yours

M-Ok babygirl bye

V-Bye

I turn my phone off again and I put it back on the counter again. Ian comes over to the counter again and I look at him "Was that Mickey''

"It was he sent me a pic of him resting in bed"

"Ok and let me guess he also sent a d**k pic"

I go red in the face "How did you know"

He smiles "I can tell by your face and plus he's a guy we all do it"

"Ok ew I don't need to know that you have done that"

He chuckles "Aww no need to be embarrassed you've seen my d**k"

"I know but still"

"It's ok I won't send you any d**k pics"

I smile "Ok good"

We laugh "So Jimmy seems nice"

"Yeah he is"

"What does he do for a living"

"He steals cars for a living but he is from a rich family"

"Ok well that's a strange way to make money"

"It is but at least he makes Fiona happy"

"Good I'm glad he does"

"I am to unlike her other scum bag ex boyfriends that she has dated that I didn't like at all"

"I didn't like them either. They always gave me weird looks whenever I was over at your place"

"What type of looks"

"The I want to f**k you looks"

"Don't worry about them there out of Fiona's life for good"

"Good she doesn't need someone like that in her life. She needs someone that will make her happy and I think Jimmy can make her happy"

"I think he can as well and as long as he doesn't hurt her and break her heart because if he does me and Lip will kill him"

I smile "You and Lip are such protective brothers and your my protective best friend"

"I am I will do anything to protect the people I love and care about"

"Same with me"

"Don't forget Mickey will do the same for you as well"

"I haven't forgot I know he will and I will do the same for him as well"

I walk over to him and we hug again. I know Ian and Mickey will do anything for me. Because when we were in grade 7 this guy and his friends were harassing me and Mandy. They kept following us around the school. We kept trying to tell them to f**k off and go away but they didn't care. Ian, Lip and Mickey saw what was going on. They came over and beat up the guys that were harassing us. From that moment I knew that I liked Mickey but at the time he was off limits because of Mandy. Even though she knows we are dating I think she isn't comfortable with it. I would probably feel the same way if she was dating Micheal. I know it isn't comfortable for her me dating Mickey. Because I can see it in her face knowing her best friend is dating her brother. Because it's something you don't ever do. your not suppose to like your best friends brother and you don't ever date them as well. But I guess I broke those two rules and I don't regret breaking them and I never will.
