"When Eyes Met on the First Day"

Ring, ring, ring…A boy woke up from his bed and answered the call in a sleepy voice, “Hello…?”On the other side of the phone, a man shouted, “Hello! You know it’s my first day today, right? If I get late because of you, then just watch—I won’t spare you!”He casually said,“Okay okay, my drama queen, let’s go.”While going downstairs, she shouted to her mother,“Mamma, we’re leaving! Bye!”Mamma replied,“Arey, at least eat something before you go!”He answered,“Mamma, we’ll eat something in the canteen, okay? Bye, we’re running late!”And both of them left.

As she entered the college on her scooty, she noticed two boys standing near a car. They looked suspicious to her, so she decided to check what was going on. As she got closer, she saw that one a boy (rishab)was standing and saying something while the other one was leaking air from the tyre.This made her furious. She immediately went straight toward them. The boys who was letting out the air quickly ran away when he noticed her, and the other one—Sashank—was left standing there, completely shocked, because he had no idea what was happening.Just then, a girl—Trishika—got off her scooty, walked up to Sashank, and slapped him without saying a single word or asking anything. He was completely stunned, frozen in place.After two or three seconds, Trishika started scolding him loudly:“Aren’t you ashamed? You look like you’re from a decent family and you’re doing things like this? Is this what your family sends you out for? Who knows how much trouble you’ve caused the person whose car this is!”And she kept going on and on.As soon as Tarish was coming toward them, Rishabh was running in that direction. Suddenly, he accidentally bumped into a cute girl, and all the books in her hands fell to the ground.She looked at him angrily, but Rishabh went completely lost in her as soon as he saw her.She shouted at him,“Are you blind? Can’t you walk properly? How rude!”And then she walked away.Even after she left, Rishabh kept staring in the direction she went…Just then, Rohan, who was standing nearby, lightly slapped Rishabh’s cheek and said,“She left, bro…”…and laughed.A soft smile appeared on Rishabh’s face too.Rishabh asked Rohan, “Who was she?”Rohan replied, “She’s a fresher.
