Looking around the playground, I’m looking at these children with new eyes. Going from being just an Omega to being a father to Wes’ kids to becoming a father of my own kid… The way you see the world changes with each step.
I nuzzle Mia for a moment, her small frame warm against me. No matter how much I want to believe that nothing has changed just yet, everything has changed. Not just Jonah showing up, but also the possibility of me being pregnant.
Nothing is sure yet, and even after we know for sure, things could still change so easily. But, I know that no matter the outcome, everything has changed already.
Will I still be waiting here in five years? Will I be waiting for my own kid to come out of that building? Or will that not be here?
