The Sweetest Disaster

Asthrid heart's was full of excitement. It was the first day of her second year in St. Dominic High School the most prestigious school in the whole town. Students in this school are almost belong to the high society except some scholars like Asthrid. She was able to enter this kind of school because she was blessed of high IQ and talented in almost all aspects may it be science, math, arts, music or other academic field. She was created by God with all the assets a person should posses. She was absolutely beautiful inside and out. The only problem is she was born poor and her family belongs to the lowest status of living in the entire town. Nevertheless, this status never be a problem to her in pursuing her goal in life. She was motivated and determined to do all means just to finish her study and find a good job to help her family. At the school corridor a group of students were laughing loudly while excitedly chatting with each other. She will go in the direction where the girls are happily having their chitchat. She was hesitant if she will go straight there because she saw whose the leader of the peer. It's Jedah the only daughter of the honorable municipal mayor of their town, known to be a harsh person in words and deeds especially towards the scholars in the school like her. But, though she wants to avoid any encounter with Jedah she had no choice. There's no another way or path to go through going to her destination. So, she simply walk towards the direction of Jedah's peer. As she goes nearer to them the laughter and loud chatting ceased and became murmuring and whispering voice. Though there's already an idea on her mind that something is about to happen against her she continue walking straightly to the bulletin board which is the information board of the school to see and find out if what section she belong this year. Because during the schedule of viewing the list of sections she failed to report to school because she needs to help her mother to finished the laundry in their neighbor. But when she was about to reach her destination an elegant figure suddenly appeared in front of her. With two hands on her slender hip she said, " Where do you think you are going?" Feeling nervous she looked at her straight to her eyes and humbly said, "Ms. Jedah I am going to the information board to see what section I belong this year because I did not yet know if what section I am. Can I go now, please?" "Are you commanding me to let you go? How dare you act like that way in front of the only daughter of your honorable mayor!!" Jedah uttered those words with anger in his eyes. "Don't you know who you are talking with? Maybe you don't know me because as you unrespectfully answering me for sure you really don't know me. Well, I'll let you recognize who I am." then, she harshly pulled the hair of Asthrid and curled it up in her fingers while Asthrid is shouting and begging to let her go. But Jedah was deaf in anger and continue what she was doing. Suddenly the bell rang. That's only the time that Jedah loosened the hair of Asthrid from her cruel fingers. Then pushed Asthrid forcefully which caused the latter to fail into the ground. Then Jedah was running with poise going to the ceremonial ground while Asthrid was fixing herself and her messy hair. Not knowing her section she proceeds to the ceremonial ground and find herself standing on the line of the last section of grade 8. She told herself, "stay calm Asthrid,everything will be okay." The flag ceremony was over. The students are all set going to their respective classroom except Asthrid. She stilt needs to walk a long pathways to reach the information board to find out what section she belong. She walked full of composure straight to the information board. She saw her name easily because her full name is Asthrid Atienza. So it was written in the first line following the alphabetical arrangement. She was amazed when she read he name in the third number of the star section. She felt so excited and cannot wait the moment to tell her mother about this. She was so drawn by her thought that she forgot that the first period was about to begin. Upon realizing it she walked quickly towards the star section classroom. She respectfully greet her teacher and classmates and said, "I'm sorry teacher I'm late." "Oh, please come in Ms. Atienza you're just on time." said Ms. Curtis. "Just find a sit for yourself, okay.?" then she nodded. She look around and she saw that only the sit in front was available. So she go to the front sit and sit gently. The teacher began to discussed something in front so everyone was attentively listening to her. Suddenly, she felt something sharp piercing her right leg. Its so painful that she wants to shout and move to see what is it. But, it's as if her body was freezed on her sit. When she manage to look backward she saw the witchy look of Jedah. The sarcastic smile and evil look from her was cursing the whole being of Asthrid.
