Chapter Twenty-Nine Zac had called Diane twice and left a message, and he now checked his cell phone again because she hadn’t called him back. That was unlike her. He’d have panicked long ago if Annie hadn’t been at home with her. Sean closed up the back of his truck. Since Annie didn’t have much, they hadn’t needed a second vehicle. “Any answer?” he asked as he climbed in the driver’s side. “No. I left another message. Maybe they went out for a walk,” Zac said, but then, he’d called Diane’s cell, too, and she never left home without it. It too had gone to voicemail.
